Karaoke Royale
Project Overview
Karaoke Royale is a 90 second animated short film.
Synopsis: A Filipino Family gathers for a fiesta. They celebrate by singing karaoke. The karaoke then takes a turn when two singing protgē cousins, Ate Anya and Kuya Ondoy, decide to duel it out in a karaoke battle to see who will have the highest score. They start off going back and forth with their lines. As the singing gets more intense, they start using cartoonish stunts to outwit the other. Such as Kuya Ondoy, taking the karaoke bouncing ball from the bottom captions and throwing it at Ate Anya. The singing gets more intense as the two reach the climax of the song. Their competition is then abruptly cut off at the last second when their Ipad kid cousin unplugs the karaoke machine to charge his Ipad to play Roblox. The cousins are shocked their competition was ruined but that shock quickly turns into laughter as the family bonds over the goofy actions of the Ipad kid cousin.

Looking for a Filipino songwriter/composer who can write a 30 sec or less duet between my two characters. The vibe I am going for is like upbeat fight duet mixed with classic karaoke rythm. I want the song to feel like is like the rhythm of “Dahil Ikaw” or "Ang Bol-Anon" and energy/lyrics of “Anything You Can Do”. Although I am completely open to any creative spin the composer wants to do.
I prefer the song to be in Bisaya but but I am open to Tagalog as well.
