Project Overview
This fictional Kaiserreich Documentary series explores the althistory timeline of the world's most popular fan-built althistory IP, 'Kaiserreich'. In the world of Kaiserreich, Germany and her Central Power allies win WW1, leading to a world very different from our own.
In the sixth episode of this tentpole series, Kaiserreich developers and KCC writers explore the other Central Powers and their relations after attaining victory in the Great War. Austria-Hungary was given a new lease of life, but long-running ethnic tensions continue to simmer beneath the surface. The struggling Federation is subject to a violent political pendulum – stuck between the aspirations of Danubian reformists, and the entrenched power of the aristocratic elite. Latent German influence, and Balkan revanchism chip away at the influence of the Empire, stuck between hope and despair.
Will the continent see the rise of a great federation of equals, or suffer yet another Sick Man of Europe?

The Hungarian Farmer is a narrator that represents the reactionary working class of Kaiserreich's 1920's Hungary. He is your slightly comical grumpy uncle, who rubs his hands at the idea of the return of the Hungarian pro-magyar regime.

They promised us they were nothing like the French or British Syndicalists. Nooo, their aim was not Revolution, but reform, you see! *prah* and all the good it did us! The minute that leftist rabble saw the winds turn against them, they reached for rifles all the same! No-good jobless loft socialists, Syndicalists, Marxo-watchamacallit anarchists, Jacobins: Rats, the whole lot of them! Rats who deny the Hungarian way, the true way! The city kids from Budapest, Pozsony, Kolozsvár got the hard end of a baton, the cold inside of a cell, and their entire government collapsed and fled. Now, Hungary is once again led by god-fearing men. And the socialist experiment is over! Good riddance I say. Long live Hungary, and long live the old ways!
