What is this?
START AGAIN: a prologue - The Dub is a project that aims to dub the entirety of the indie time-looping RPG of the same name, and streamline the game to create a cinematic experience, to be released on YouTube once completed.
START AGAIN START AGAIN START AGAIN: A PROLOGUE (or: START AGAIN: a prologue) is a story driven turn-based RPG where you, Siffrin, are stuck in a time loop for no reason you can find.
The country is frozen in time, and together with your allies you fought your way through the castle and fought the King to put an end to this curse… And you died and found yourself right back at the entrance. Again. And again. And again. But you’re the only one who remembers it; your allies are none the wiser. And there’s no end in sight.
You're fine though! Hiding your knowledge from your friends is easy! Fighting the same enemies is easy! Dying to the same final boss over and over again is easy!
You have to make sure your friends don't find out about the super fun time travel times you're having though.

If the dub of START AGAIN is successful and production is feasible in the long term, then I would like to also dub In Stars and Time, which START AGAIN is a prologue/prototype to; as START AGAIN is a much shorter game, the dub of it also acts as a test to see if a dub of In Stars and Time would be feasible.
I am in need of people willing to fill out the cast and bring these characters to life.
Production Timeline
May 1st - VA submissions close.
May 1st-5th - Submissions are reviewed.
May 6th - Selected auditions will be contacted by this date.
May-August - The START AGAIN dub is in production.
August (Exact Date TBD) - The START AGAIN dub is released.
August-September - If production of the START AGAIN dub is found to be feasible long-term, pre-production on a dub of In Stars and Time will begin.
Requirements/Submission Guidelines
Please slate your auditions and include your name, preferred pronouns, and Discord. Ex. "Hello, my name is Siffrin, I use he/they, and my Discord is LoopingInTime". Please also include your Discord in the description of your submission.
You may submit up to two takes per line for each audition. Please have your takes in AABBCC format.
You may submit auditions for as many characters as you would like, however you may only submit one audition per character. With the exceptions of technical issues or other unusual circumstances, in which case you MUST contact us with the issue, repeat submissions will be ignored.
Communication for this project will primarily be conducted over Discord. If you don't have one/are unable to make one, please do not submit an audition.
Good sound quality is a must. Please make sure your recording setup is clear, will not peak/clip when shouting or screaming, and is free of significant/obstructive background noise or echo.
Do not use voice effects other than noise removal or volume balancing when submitting.
You must be at least 18 years old to be cast for this dub.

I've had a couple people express worry that they don't have much experience with VA work. I just wanted to officially say that I'm not taking previous experience into account. If you have experience, that's great; if you don't, that's fine as well! If you can voice the character, that's all that matters :)
