PLOT: When a human soul is lost, its relevance draws closer to the world more than one would think. Dropout student author, Alessia Darling, comes face-to-face with a lost spirit residing in her apartment building with his tombstone hours away. A series of mysteries follows these seekers as Alessia finds out what really wrote her ghostly friend's story, and the bigger question remains; will she be the one who writes the ending?

AUDITIONING REQ.
*AGE - You must be over the age of 15 to audition for this project.
*DISCORD REQUIRED - When auditioning, please leave your discord handle below. This is how I will be contacting you once cast.
*EMOTION & EXPRESSION - I will be looking out for this especially, a good take on emotion makes a great impact on the character! If the character is specifically listed to have a monotone approach, that would be the time to have that kind of voice rather than a casual expression. Personal direction is provided within the audition lines and character description. If you have any concerns about the context, feel free to contact me here.
*LIMIT BACKGROUND NOISE - Little to no background noise in your audition.
*BE RESPONSIBLE - This is pretty self-explanatory. If cast, please oblige to the given deadline. Voice Actors will be given approximately, if not more, 3 WEEKS to turn in lines, with a 5-day extension MAX. If unable to submit lines in both scenarios, please come to me privately and we will set up an appropriate deadline for you.
*MICROPHONE QUALITY - USB and XLR microphones are highly preferred, but don't let this restrict you if you don't meet this preference!
*AUDIO FORMAT - Please send your audition/lines through mp3. or wav. format!
*ADDITIONAL - I am free to hear your interpretations of these characters and lines as well! This goes for improv and several takes, but keep it close to what's written already.

I WILL BE CASTING TWO ACTORS FOR THIS ROLE. ETTE IS A MORPHING ABBERATION WITH A MALE AND FEMALE COUNTERPART. HUMMING AND WHITE NOISE CAN BE HEARD AS THEY CONVERSE. THIS IS A LEAD ROLE. EXPECT THIS CHARACTER TO YELL.
Ette is an aberration that lingers in the dark for all souls to "redeem" their purpose. The only entity that lost souls remember apart from their longing for an answer. Ette itself was the first unexplained story, and in hopes of restoring her calling, she kills a soul like her to help her uncover the mystery she never understood. To her misconception, she only feeds her confusion after each soul turns to the old apartment building she conjures. Every soul she takes away is just like her. Distorted, unidentifiable, they can't recall a thing. A gut feeling tells her that she must raise her army to find the reason behind it all, even if she accepts that they're all lingering to never fade with a white-noised face. Unlike the rest, her appearance is rather disturbing. She carries a glitchy shadow, with sharp blue and black just barely making out her stature. The longer this goes on, the angrier she gets. Making herself more of a villain than a hero; what her delusions wanted her to turn out to be.
THE FIRST THREE LINES ARE FOR BOTH FEMALE AND MALE VOICES.

There is nothing to gain from those who are still searching for an answer long-forgotten." (They accuse you of being the reason they lost everything; harsh; cold) "THEY LOST THEMSELVES."

Rory Miller is the confident, charismatic roommate who's been friends with Alessia since college. Even after Alessia dropped out after her freshman year, the two remained close and even moved into a vacant apartment together. Rory has always been the out-and-about girl, exploring every abandoned mall and highway she can find with her girlfriends. Though she and Alessia are opposites in their social lives, the two are together till death does them part. When she's home for a week max (rarely), she'd rent out the couch and binge-watch every TV show that makes her cry, laugh, and flat-out embarrassed. Her outlook on life is more than social media-inspired outfits and having a little too much to drink, she's a friend. A friend a like her is somebody you can't find easily. The friend that'd hype you up no matter how many times you will ask her to stop.

(Your best friend is describing something she thinks you wouldn't understand, and you don't see the fuss behind it; confident; amused reassuring) "Crazy? Girl, you were crazy the moment you agreed to live with me. I *LIVE* for your crazy."
(furious –> frantic; stern) "DAMN YOU! – Alessia, let's go!"
(amused; teasing; casual) "I know how to read too, you know."
THIS IS A SUPPORTING ROLE. GIANA IS A VERY CONFRONTING CHARACTER. THIS ROLE REQUIRES EXTREME ANGER AND SCREAMING.
Giana Beaverely is the living girlfriend of her departed boyfriend, Spencer, the spirit that joined Alessia and Giana together. After her boyfriend's death, her world was different. Not only was HER world gone, but the world she lives on without him feels like no world at all. Before it all, it was hard for Gianna to fit in. She was the neglected group of adolescents that was rejected by her peers all because they thought she was "annoying". She's loud, her laugh can wake up the entire room, and how her entire personality is about Instagram likes and clothes, but those were the qualities she thought she needed to have for everyone to like her. She just wants to fit in. Deep under the temperamental personality. Giana is a passionate gymnast who shares her love for the fall and all things sweet.

He looked so sad... –He was gone by the time I looked again to make sure I wasn't dreaming.... I wish he stayed so I could ask why."

Edison Dennis is the devoted husband of Eleanor. (Alessia's older sister) When outside of the house, he is dedicating his life to the police field. He has plenty of training to go through, but he knows better when to not shoot a bullet. Behind open doors, he's an insistent and hard-to-convince man, especially if he holds a dislike towards you. His brooding demeanor, however, can't be defeated by his kindness, love for the outdoors, and the crippling anxiety that keeps him up most nights. He wants the best for himself and his growing family, even if that means shutting others out.

(You barge into the room last second just before your sister-in-law is about to meet the fate you've warned her about. You point your gun at the entity, risking your life; demanding; yelling) "GET DOWN!"
THIS IS A SUPPORTING RULE
Tatum Villareal was the first trapped soul under Ette's wing, yet the most neglected and ridiculed by the one she's supposed to be guided by. Tatum was unfortunately killed at a very young age, but being the first came with special perks. She was sneaky. Tatum is the only soul who forms an identifiable face among her lost peers but is imprisoned to the point she refuses to talk about it. Because of Ette, Tatum is often collected and tries her best to keep her lost peers "out of trouble", aka talking them out of finding the story they cannot remember. She was the first to be silenced, and the first to have that barrier rule truly commit to Ette's plans. Though she was silenced, she knows more about Ette than Ette themselves, though the only thing she can do about it is let it sink in, hoping her friends don't meet the same fate behind closed doors. As long as her bad memory (or so she claims) can take her.

You are treating this like a girl's night gossip even though you're explaining one of the heart-breaking facts about the villain versus your friend) "Well.... Spencer's her favorite. I've been trying to get his attention, but.. he doesn't listen. ... (bowing head; softspoken) I don't think he wants to."
(subtle sad; hatred against the conditions you're enduring) "You don't want this. Bridges fall because they listened to *HER.* ... (looking at them dead in the eye) *That includes your own.*"
(emotional; nearly in tears; guilty; running up to your friends, begging for their forgiveness; you don't want them to hate you) "I'm sorry! I wanted to tell you, I really did! I wanted to tell everyone!"

Behind the microphone and the counter at the record store, Percy McCoy is a pessimistic ex-paranormal investigator with a smart mouth that others wish would just stop talking. He often takes time for himself, gluing his time to a book or organizing his grandfather's shelves full of antiques he could only wish he'd understand. Unlike his extroverted childhood friend (Rory), he's judgmental and doesn't have enough time in the day to consider another. But at the end of the day, people can still make him cave in, especially Rory. Percy thought the ghost-busting days were behind him until his friend showed up on his front doorstep unannounced. Another thing he really does not have the time for.

THIS IS A MINOR ROLE. SHE MAKES ONE APPEARANCE AT THE END OF THE SERIES, BUT HER CHARACTER IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE ENDING.
Elise Dennis is the loveable, full of childhood joy daughter of Eleanor and Edison, just four years time. Since she was two, she would talk about a life she had before this one. Back then, she was having a hard time learning new words and expanding her vocabulary. Now, though she still struggles to speak, maybe there's a reason that isn't her intelligence. Maybe a past injury? Or where she suddenly died before her rebirth? She's a big fan of drawing her memories and talking to her aunt about everything she did in this life and the one before. Besides the past life regression, this girl is in love with every color and animal in the world, and would feel horrible if she left one stuffed animal behind before bed. Even refuses to eat animal crackers, just in case she hurts one of her friends. Though her entire journey as a previous lost soul, this girl has more questions than answers her parents can provide.

"When I was big, I wanted my other mommy to be happy forever. She never was when I wanted to play. That's why you're my favorite mommy."
(shaking her head; innocent disapproving.) "None. No more."
(excited; cheerful) "I LOOOVE lights.– Auntie, once, I saw this BIG light. It was so shiney and sparkely! Then I saw you, mommy, and daddy and another light! What's with all the lights?"
I will be casting about five or more actors for this role. I will be needing an array of background characters that will either contribute to a souls painful demeanor or bystanders nearby!
