Project Overview

If you've clicked onto this project I assume your a HXH fan, I also assume your a fan of the 2011 version of the series. Originally there was an anime in 1999 that aired for 63 episodes before coming to a close due to Yohshihiro Togashi having not written further then where the show currently was. Over the course of the early 2000's there was some OVA's (Original Video Animation) continuing the story but they didnt have as good of animation due to a lack of funding. These didn't garner much attention nor did they get dubbed. I am a bit fan of Togashi and have seen all of the 1999 show, most of the dubbed 2011 HXH, and all of yu yu hakusho which is Togashi's previous work. I would like to do a fandub of the first episode of the Greed Island OVA and maybe go further then the that if this project works out.

  • Roles are being reopened for Gon and Phinks

    I have been a bit of a slacker in the way of getting back to people on the audio they send me, but I am trying to get stuff rolling again. Our Gon voice actor has informed me she has had other things come up and can no longer work with us, and our Phinks voice actor has straight up ghosted me. As I said I am trying to get stuff going again, so I am actually making myself work on editing rather then be lazy and I am requesting that people start sending me audio again once I give the ok.

Killua is one of the youngest in the Zoldyck family of assassins. He got board one day and took the hunter exam for fun, there he met Gon and has been traveling with him since leaving behind his life of cold blooded murder in exchange for adventures and friendship. He is often series but jokes around with Gon a lot, the two have rather good chemistry.

I feel it would be a good idea to have a female voice Gon since he typically has a higher voice. In the 2011 dub he is voiced by a female so it wouldn't be that weird to do it here.

Gon grew up on whale island, orphaned but not without a caretaker. His mother is unknown though his father left him behind on the island with his sister. Gon grew up as one of the only children on the island and lived under the care of his aunt Mitto, though he always wondered about his father. He took it upon himself to take the hunter exam as soon as he could so he could go out and chase his dream on meeting his father while under the same profession as him.

Melody through HXH was a rather minor character.  She had a soft voice with a accent that sounded kinda southern.

Introduced in the auction arc as Kurapika's co worker, Melody is a short quiet lady who's skills pertain of the following: Inasnely good hearing and attention to peoples heartbeats to know more about them then they know about themselves, some skill in medicinal herbs, and the ability to use music to soothe or simply alter peoples moods.

Like most people here (excluding Gon and Killua), Zepile will likely only be in the first couple episodes.

Zepile Met the two young hunters in the city as they were trying to raise money for the auction. He soon explained his line of "work" and struck a deal with them. He is very skilled in the way of bartering and knows howto properly appraise things as well as being knowledgeable in valuables. Defiantly someone you want around while shopping.

Like most people here (excluding Gon and Killua), Leorio will likely only be in the first couple episodes.

Leorio met Gon, Kill, and Kurapika at the hunter exam. The four of them have since been good companions checking in with each other and trying to help each other strive for their goals. Leorio hopes to make lots of money as a hunter so he can one day become a doctor. He wold never admit it to the others but he has this dream because he couldnt afford schooling for such a proffesion while his friend was sick, and he was to late seeing as his friend is dead and he is just now working as a hunter. He may seem like the calm and mature one of the group but he has a tendancy to snap, often at Kurapika who is truely the mature one (Though Kurapika has poor judgement in many situations.)

Phinks and Feiton, a couple of the spiders, find Gon and Killua at the auction hall and "chat" the up a bit.

Phinks is a tall fellow with a deeper stern voice, though he doesn't really sound angered. His hair is slicked back and brown in the original animation but in the 2011 it is bleached blonde. I honesly really like his physique and hair style because it reminds me of a 1920's gangster and I love that time period. Though he sure as hell doesn't sound like a mafia man or anything.

Phinks and Feiton, a couple of the spiders, find Gon and Killua at the auction hall and "chat" the up a bit.

Feiton is short and quite his voice his somewhat scratchy and he always hides his face in his jacket. He seldom speaks and when he does it would surely scare the ever living shit out of you if you were face to face. Who ever might say bigger is better, is wrong in this case for Feiton surely is stronger then his partner Phinks.

Shizuku really doesnt seem to be all there. She is rather slow, not in speed but in comprehension. Her Nen can create a vacuum which she uses to fight enemies and 'clean up' the mess left behind.

Shalnark is a rather recent addition to the spider crew and works more over with intel gathering rather then actual combat. I myself dont know exactly what he can do in combat but he is rather nerdy and confident in what he has to say. This isn't needed info but between the 1999 version and 2011 version his hair changed.
