Project Overview
What is this?
This project is for fans of HxH who want to dub over some of the scenes/fanworks made for the series, and want to fill the void after it's long hiatus. It's alright to audition if you haven't gotten into it yet, but this casting call will have a lot of spoilers so be wary.
Synopsis: (taken from the wiki) [Mild Spoilers]
The story follows a young boy named Gon Freecss, who was told all his life that both his parents were dead. But when he learns from Kite, an apprentice of his father Ging Freecss, that he is still alive and has since become an accomplished Hunter, Gon leaves his home on Whale Island to take the Hunter Examination in order to become a Hunter like him.During the exam, Gon meets and soon befriends three of the other applicants: Kurapika, the last remaining member of the Kurta clan who wishes to become a Hunter in order to avenge his clan and recover their scarlet-glowing eyes that were plucked from their corpses by a band of thieves known as the Phantom Troupe; Leorio, a prospective physician who, in order to pay for medical school, desires the financial benefits that Hunters receive; and Killua Zoldyck, another twelve-year-old boy who has left his former life as a member of the world's most notorious assassin family. Among many other examinees, Gon continuously encounters Hisoka, a mysterious and deadly transmuter who takes an interest in him. After passing by many trials together, Gon and his friends end up passing the exam except for Killua, who fails after killing another applicant due to being controlled by his brother, Illumi, and runs away to his family's estate in shame.
(A bit on the troupe:)
The group consists of thirteen members, all of whom are highly skilled Nen users. Each member has a numbered tattoo of a twelve-legged spider on their body. Those wishing to join the group can do so by killing a current member, thereby replacing them. If a vacancy opens due to a member dying or other causes, the leader of the group, Chrollo Lucilfer, is responsible for replacing them.
Requirements:
Generally, I'm not very strict with these. I just ask that your mic sounds clear, and honestly, as long as it's not a phone microphone. This isn't necessarily required, but I do ask that you have a pop filter. The only reason for that is it'll sound more crisp without the air getting pushed into the microphone.
Also, I'm not strict with age requirements- However, I do ask that you do be mature, and okay with the contents of this anime. We don't wanna make anyone feel uncomfortable.

Chrollo Lucilfer is calm, cool, intelligent, and charismatic, as he seems to be a born leader and able to hold the Phantom Troupe together despite the volatile personalities of its members. While he is a very capable strategist, Chrollo is also very confident in his own fighting abilities as well as in the other members of the Spider. He always has at least two people with him, which is why Hisoka was unable to fight him. After he has admired the objects that he targeted and acquired, Chrollo sells everything.

Nobunaga is typically a calm individual, but can be brash and get into conflicts with the other Troupe members. While he demonstrates good fighting speed and capacity for reason, he does not seem to be good at impromptu decision making. This is first seen when Owl traps the car the Troupe members were riding in; every occupant of the car was able to escape except for Nobunaga, in part because he was riding in the middle of the back seat but also because he did not prepare himself to leave through one of the two doors ahead of time. Furthermore, when Gon and Killua announce their intention to take him on from both sides, Nobunaga activates his En and prepares himself for an attack rather than to pursue either one of the children, allowing them to escape.

Feitan is the Phantom Troupe's interrogator, being very proficient in the art of torture. His speech usually consists of few words and poor grammar; when angered, he speaks a language of unknown origin, different from the common language of the world. He is cold-natured but very loyal to Chrollo Lucilfer and the Phantom Troupe as a whole. He is implied to be deeply involved with all Phantom Troupe activities, remembering exact details of how long it's been since the last time all of the members have gathered together, what has changed since then and who the new members are or when Chrollo gave him instructions.

Machi is one of the coldest members in the Phantom Troupe, almost never losing her cool or displaying any feelings. However, according to Shalnark, behind this façade, she is soft. She has been shown to care for Pakunoda, as she was one of the members who mourned her death and watched over her grave. Furthermore, Machi is fiercely loyal to Chrollo, going so far as to challenge two other members of the Troupe for his sake; moreover, she stated that she would hunt Hisoka down if he were to kill Chrollo. She is very confident in her strength, and if threatened, she replies accordingly.

Kalluto has a silent and obedient personality, often seen doing what he is told. He is established to have a very good relationship with his mother. While he is very quiet, he has shown to be more talkative after joining the Spiders. He is also shown to be quite calm with good control of his feelings. Nonetheless, he proves during his fight against a Chimera Ant that, despite his calm demeanor, Kalluto has a brutal side and a bad habit of dragging out a fight in order to toy with his victims. Though Kalluto seems to be confident, he also displays a habit of questioning his skills and abilities when he feels that he is not good enough. Despite this, Kalluto possesses an inner resilience and determination, as seen when he reaffirms to himself that he is accustomed to enduring pain and hardship, then swears to get his brother back even when realizing his massive inferiority to other Phantom Troupe members,

Phinks is short-tempered and rather ruthless. He can be brash and has a tendency to get into conflicts with other people, including his comrades. Phinks seems to get along with Feitan the most and is often seen partnering with him, both in and out of combat. He is very loyal to Chrollo Lucilfer, as shown when he was the first to try to go after Kurapika after Chrollo was captured despite the objections of other members. He does not seem to be the type that would take his own words seriously. This was shown when despite how it was his idea that anyone who kills Zazan would be declared the new de facto leader of the Phantom Troupe, where Feitan had done so, he was seen chasing and throwing rocks at both Shalnark and the newly-elected leader, albeit comically, for teasing him.

Shalnark's highly intelligent and thought quickly on his feet. He's fond of electronics and considered those he controlled with his phone to be toys. He expressed a dislike for his "autopilot mode", not just because he cannot remember his actions in that mode, but also he cannot feel the satisfaction for what he did while in autopilot. While Shalnark got along with everyone in the group, he did not seem to become close to anyone, possible exceptions being Uvogin, Chrollo, and Pakunoda, and even then only to an extent. After Chrollo was captured, Shalnark sided with Feitan and Phinks in wanting to go after Pakunoda in order to kill the chain user, even at the risk of Chrollo's life. After Pakunoda's death, he and the other members could be seen in mourning, Shalnark seemed more interested in the game console that Feitan and Phinks brought to the base, and then spent the next few days researching everything about Greed Island. He did not seem to put too much value on his own life either, as shown by his totally nonchalant reaction when Shizuku's fortune foretold that he might be one of the Troupe's dead members during the Yorknew City arc. Despite looking like the most innocent and cheerful member, it was possible that Shalnark was one of the more cold-hearted and less empathetic of the group, seeing his controlled victims as nothing more than "toys" who get "broken" when they are killed.

Complementing his appearance, Franklin is not "soft", as he never hesitates to kill, even reveling in combat, and is never hesitant when in difficult situations. He is quick-tempered when challenged, to the point of engaging in a fight with a fellow Troupe member. He often teams up with Shizuku. Apart from Chrollo himself, Franklin seems to be the only one who can compose the Troupe altogether; when Phinks, Feitan, Machi, and Pakunoda are arguing whether to pursue the Chain-user or not, Franklin calms them down and proposes a plan that would ensure the Phantom Troupe's survival. His loyalty to the Troupe is unquestionable, as he is willing to kill some members and start to rebuild the Spiders

Shizuku is very level-headed. She does not emote, even while announcing that according to her fortune, she would die within two weeks. Like Illumi, Shizuku is characterized as aloof, callous, and soulless. Her blunt, cold statements frequently offend, creating resentment from those around her. She is forgetful to the point of short-term memory loss; sometimes she forgets people's names, or that she had ever met them at all. She can be air-headed, which often causes opponents to underestimate her combat abilities. Shizuku believes in the rules that Chrollo set forth for the Phantom Troupe and is against members fighting one another.

Pakunoda exuded an air of self-confidence that could be intimidating to others. Pakunoda was completely loyal to Chrollo and even went against the Troupe and Chrollo's own saying that the survival of the group comes before the survival of the individual (including the leader) in order to rescue him. Pakunoda was very loyal to the Spider as well, as she sacrificed herself so that her comrades could know about Kurapika's abilities. Like the other members of the Troupe, she did not care at all about those who do not belong to the group. Two notable exceptions were Gon and Killua: She was impressed by their refusal to run away so that the deal between the Troupe and Kurapika could be made without victims and therefore hopefully end without consequence. She sort of "rewarded" them by including their decision in the memories she left to her comrades.

Very little is known about his personality and reasons for joining the Troupe. However, during his brief fight against a Chimera Ant, Bonolenov presents himself as a graceful warrior. He speaks in a formal and regal manner and displays pride regarding his tribe. Unlike the other Troupe members, Bonolenov doesn't revel in fighting and killing, only doing so when provoked. When he is, he calmly displays both power and confidence. Bonolenov has good relationships with his fellow members, as seen when he competes with Phinks on who should fight Zazan next. He is also nicknamed "Bono" in the Troupe, showcasing a familial bond between them.

Uvogin was a typical Enhancer: determined, head-strong, simple, and sometimes disrespectful. He was barbaric in manner, viewing even pain merely as a nuisance. Like all members of the Phantom Troupe, Uvogin never hesitated to kill and was remorseless in doing so. He particularly enjoyed fights against skilled opponents, but he would typically rush into battle without a plan. However, despite often rushing into battle and fighting in a barbaric manner, he was extremely resourceful, being able to defeat three skilled Nen users (Porcupine, Rabid Dog, and Leech) using only his head, after being paralyzed from the neck down. Although he prefered to fight alone, Uvogin became stronger when fighting with a partner, because he fought better when there was someone else to protect. Uvogin was best friends with Nobunaga Hazama and the two brought out the best in each other during combat. Uvogin, like all of the other members of the Troupe, was absolutely loyal to Chrollo and the Spiders' ideals. He disliked carrying money and claims he had absolutely no use for it, as he firmly stood in his belief that one should steal whatever they desire.

Kortopi does not appear to be very talkative, and he is often seen complying with what other Spiders tell him. He is fiercely loyal to Chrollo Lucilfer, donating his Nen ability to him and being willing to fight Phinks Magcub and Feitan Portor alongside Machi Komacine to ensure his survival.[6] He also expressed surprise that Machi would accept money from Hisoka to treat him after his fight with Chrollo. Very little is known about Kortopi, or when he joined the Phantom Troupe. It is also unknown if he too participated in the Kurta Clan massacre.

He always sounds kinda suspicious, if that makes any sense. His voice is on the slightly higher side, and he kinda (imo) gives off snake-vibes. He shares a VA with Beans, if that helps at all.
