Our stories explore the darkest corners of the human psyche, the supernatural, and the unknown, offering a wide range of terrifying narratives designed to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Payment:

Please note that payment for this role is deferred. We are currently collaborating with a marketing team to promote and grow the podcast with the goal of generating revenue in the future. While we are working hard to ensure the podcast’s success, we cannot guarantee financial returns at this stage. Compensation will be discussed and provided once the project generates revenue. We appreciate your passion, creativity, and willingness to collaborate with us on this exciting journey as we work toward that goal.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative SFX Audio Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing and assembling voice actor audio recordings, creating soundscapes, and adding sound effects to enhance the immersive experience of our audio plays. This is an exciting opportunity to work on dynamic and thrilling projects with a dedicated team. Payment is deferred, with compensation to be discussed as the project gains traction.

Responsibilities:

   •       Edit and mix voice recordings to ensure clarity, consistency, and smooth transitions.

   •       Collaborate with producers and directors to craft immersive soundscapes for each audio play.

   •       Add appropriate sound effects (SFX) to enhance the mood, atmosphere, and storytelling.

   •       Sync audio tracks, dialogues, and effects to match the pacing and tone of the script.

   •       Implement feedback and revisions to ensure the highest production quality.

   •       Manage and organize audio files and maintain a streamlined workflow.

Qualifications:

   •       Proficiency in audio editing software such as Pro Tools, Audacity, Adobe Audition, Reaper, etc.

   •       Experience with sound design and creating realistic, atmospheric SFX.

   •       Strong attention to detail and ability to match audio with the tone and pacing of the story.

   •       Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

   •       A passion for horror or storytelling is a plus.

   •       Collaborate with the creative team to ensure stories align with the tone, themes, and vision of ‘Scream Play’.

   •       Format scripts according to audio play standards, ensuring dialogue and sound cues are clear and actionable.

   •       Revise and refine scripts based on feedback from editors and producers.

   •       Meet deadlines and maintain consistent communication throughout the writing process.

Prompt: A group of friends get lost in an abandoned town during a thunderstorm, only to discover they are not alone.

    2.    Format the script for an audio play, making sure to include clear dialogue, sound effects, and any necessary descriptions for an immersive listening experience.

    3.    Be sure to include a brief introduction about yourself and any relevant writing experience you have.
