Honor Bound Book Trailer
Project Overview
Honor Bound is a series of books I have written, You can see them here on Amazon I want to create a book trailer for it and then possibly market the same service to other authors. I am looking for voice actors to voice dialogue from the books from scenes I have chosen for the trailer. I need clean sounding mics, no reverb, no background noise, no hissing etc. Make the quality be the same for your audition as it would be for your final take sound wise. If you're recording is not clean you will not be chosen. I need these specific accents so if you cannot do them, please do not audition. Thank you.
The series description is thus: Dani never meant to hurt anyone. She'd just been trying to help her Dad and her best friend Deb and make the best out of the talents this weird power gave her. She never expected to be kidnapped, or that they would take her brother too.
Min-Ji was never given a choice, she'd been forced to hurt people from the moment she first used her power. Abused, sold and pushed beyond pain into a spiral of self loathing and depression, she'd decided to choose death instead of being a weapon.
John and Clara Masumoto lived a charmed life, successful, loved and with some extra perks that being twins gave them, they also knew they'd been lucky to have escaped the suffering they'd seen others with gifts go through. When faced with tragedy they chose to do whatever they could to share their luck with others whose differences made them be seen as products, not people.
Cesco loved freedom; freedom of movement, freedom from responsibility. Training for years in parkour and martial arts he'd never faced evil, even though he'd been training to fight it all his life. When John and Clara gave him a choice to save others he had to choose between keeping the freedom he loved or helping free others.
Jessie, born an empath, her entire life she'd been forced to reconcile the conflict of what people said they felt versus what they really felt. In doing so she'd had to learn how to protect herself from the daily lies people say. Then a betrayal by a friend pushed her too far, her empathy became a weapon, and a fatal one. Ever since, she'd been searching for a way to make amends for the lives she took, a way to heal instead of harm.
Six people from completely different worlds find themselves coming together to stop a sinister ring of human trafficking that preys on those whose gifts are seen as products to be sold to the highest bidder.Filled with action, found family, emotional healing and some fight scenes that I can promise you've never seen, Honor Bound delivers both a heart pounding ride and heart wrenching character growth. I need a female VA with a Korean accent. Min-Ji is 18, she has had a very rough life. I need a VA who can convey realistic emotions based in a life time of trauma which has created a deep sense of resolve while also being able to convey anger.
The character backstory is as such - short version. Min-Ji controls fire, she was abused/owned by a criminal type that forced her to kill his rivals. She finally masters her ability well enough that she can withstand all the punishments and refuse to do his bidding. She is rescued by Cesco, and has spent a year learning how to control her powers, deal with her past etc. The scenes in the book are often emotional but there is no triggers regarding her trauma per se but she is Korean so I need the accent to be true to the character in the book. Min-JI keeps her emotions fairly well on a leash as her emotions fuel her fire ability. Anger is the one that tends to sneak through the most. Think about characters that have a large amount of emotional armor due to surviving a lot of trauma. Pull back from any anime/gacha vibes and dive more into realism. Thanks!

“Burn you bastard.” (cold tone for this line. She is attacking someone who is attacking Cesco)
“This isn't right, you shouldn't be scarred like this, shouldn't be angry.” She was close to tears. “I'm the true monster here, not you or John or anyone else. After I killed the man that was standing over you, I burned another one to death and I'd do it again. That's my role, not yours. Please don't change, please.” She was willing to sacrifice everything for these people who had saved her, she didn't want them to have to suffer.
John is the twin brother of Clara. Both John and Clara need to have a light Japanese accent (although their dad was Scottish so if you can figure out how to mesh a Japanese and Scottish accent somehow more points to you lol) John and Clara can speak mind to mind, feel each other's moods and send objects back and forth to each other. John is more fiery and hot tempered of the two and is very protective of his sister and the group at large. John and Clara are successful fashion models who have also put together this group of people to rescue kids with abilities from being sold on the black market. They are the leaders of the group. Voice actors for this role need to be able to convey both confidence, fear of failure, anger and compassion.

“Just give me some space, please. I need to think. I wasn't ready for this. It feels like no matter what I choose people get hurt.” He closed his eyes and looked away from her. “Those files that Akinori showed us. Years, Clara, years Mom put into this and got nowhere. The things she saw, we haven't even scratched the surface of things like that. What she knew, what happened to Akinori. Is this really what we want to do?
“Take as long as you want, I won't leave though. Clara is still asleep, none of us should be alone right now. I'll keep quiet. Do what you need.” He laid down on the grass several feet from her and got comfortable. She closed her eyes and tried to sort everything out in her mind.

“We are not the ones that turn Dani into a monster,
“No, you're supposed to learn from it and try to move on. Shit happens, John. Shit that you can't control, you control what you can and view the rest as a learning experience. Cesco is fine, Dani will work through her issues just like Min-Ji did. Who knows? A year from now she may be back with her family. We have work to do and we can't do it if you get stuck in this spiral.”
