Himouto! Umaru-chan R Redub (English)

Taihei is a kind and hard-working person who loves to cook. He is well known for being a pushover and excessively tolerant of other people slacking off, such as Umaru or his co-worker, Takeshi Motoba.

Taihei, while polite and well balanced, is described as a bit of a doormat, as his younger sister constantly relies on him, making him cook, clean, buy, and do whatever she tells him to. Though Umaru may be unbearable at times, Taihei appears to deeply care for his sister and worries about her future as an independent person, admitting that he has spoiled her for too long. Although Taihei does internally express anger towards Umaru during her more unbearable moments, he often calms down and tries to take a friendlier approach to winning her happiness back, which he always succeeds in doing.

At times, Taihei seems to have trouble with remembering certain things in his past, a result of a possible long-term memory deficiency. Umaru seems to take the place in his mind of the people he has forgotten.

Taihei is often gullible and is easily duped into doing whatever Umaru tells him to, especially in the presence of peer pressure, which he is extremely sensitive to. In one instance, she made him miss work so he could help her win a Necolumbus, covering up her motive by convincing him to use that time as a form of relaxation when in actuality, she tricked him into helping her and improve her odds of winning.

Even though he seems very sensitive to other people's feelings, he has also shown to be especially oblivious to others' love interests, as shown when he does not realize both Kanau and Ebina have feelings for him.

Ebina is a teenage girl who lacks self confidence and is very shy in nature. She sometimes stammers and blushes when talking to Taihei Doma or other small groups of friends. However, despite her lack of self confidence, she is a very optimistic girl.

Sylphynford is very confident and competitive, often drawing attention to herself with her eccentric habits, which include tossing rose petals over herself and spinning through hallways. She pushes herself to stand out within the crowd, always wanting to make an exaggerated entrance and impress those around her, especially Umaru. She constantly states that Umaru is her rival and she must beat her, however, Sylphyn always comes second to her.

Despite her competitive nature, she is very kind and does not insult those she's competing against, instead preferring to have fun with them playing games. She has even bought a bouquet of flowers for Umaru on her birthday. Using her sociable manner, she became best friends with UMR—Umaru's gaming persona—and looks up to her.

Sylphyn is quick to feel embarrassment when certain people are watching her show off, especially if her brother, Alex Tachibana, is present.

Kirie is described as having an extremely menacing aura, which leads her to having few friends. It's also implied that she is actually quite shy to the point that she can only talk to small children, as seen with Umaru's indoor mode, which has the appearance of a child. She calls Umaru's indoor mode (Komaru) "Master/Mistress" and is in service to her.

She appears to be quite affectionate and loving toward Umaru and 'Komaru', however, she is often violent towards her brother Takeshi Motoba, to the point where she beats him up for eating her cookies. Her special skill is "concealing her presence," and it became a running gag in the series that she's invisible.

Unlike Taihei, Takeshi is laid back and lazy, similar to Umaru Doma. He likes to goof off at work, and mess around when out and about.

Tachibana Alex is the big brother of Tachibana Sylphynford and a VERY BIG fan of Anime, Manga and Gaming. He is a supporting character in the anime and manga series and was asked by Kanau to spy on Taihei and he meets up with the other characters regularly in the show. He bonds with Umaru when Taihei invites him over to his apartment and invites his workmates to an anime festival on Christmas Eve. He is very kind to everyone and he is indirectly the reason Sylphyn Got into gaming because of the advertisement of Space Stream Fighter III that he sent to Alex. Taihei is also his superior and helps him out with his computer when its frozen as shown in Season 1. Also in the final episode of the first season he is shown watching Sylphyn play with her friends on the beach on a yacht with binoculars. He regularly wears a white collared shirt underneath a light brown jumper as well as slacks and dress shoes. He is very enthusiastic when it comes to anime and when he invites Taihei and Bomba to the festival he has the trademark "anime starry eyes" look. When Sylphyn invites Umaru and the others to her house it is shown that there are anime and game posters on the walls which she said were all her brothers possessions and in the second season it is shown that only people that are very close call each other by their first name and they wondered why Alex still calls Kanau by her first name. While on the work trip when working in the kitchen peeling potatoes he created a 'Migu' figure (referenced from Umaru's Migu doll) he brought Kanau her lunch along with the 'Potato Migu'. (This was typed in 30 minutes so feel free to rewrite the entire thing if you wish).

Kanau maintained a serious demeanor towards her work from high school all the way to her adult life. She acts flirty around Taihei, but, unlike Taihei, she seems to act violent towards Bomber and made fun of his afro when they were in high school.

Being a Master Chef, he's always serious whenever he's working. He has a strict and serious personality, despite that he's easy to embarrass shown when Taihei complimented him as his face immediately turned red and steam started pouring out of his head with a workmate of him claiming him to be a Tsundere embarrassing him even more, much like his younger sister Ebina.

He's a passionate about his occupation as a cook and even asked Taihei if he wanted to work in their restaurant, showing that he had respect towards those who knew how to cook and is good at it
