Project Overview
About
For What It’s Worth is a semi-fully/fully animated thriller action fantasy series project that I am creating, revolving around Flayden,Tikkari and Wyro, three Banefolk on an adventure to find a mysterious crystal as part of a travelling job. The plot also follows a variety of different stories from other characters that tie in to the overarching story of the show, and focuses on worldbuilding and character development.
The series will have two different animation styles based on what is being worked on:
Full Episodes (around 7-20 minutes long): Semi-Animated/Animatic style
Short Episodes/Clips (around 1 - 5 minute long): Fully Animated.
Please be aware F.W.I.W may contain sensitive themes including but not limited to:
Blood*
Cartoon Violence*

Themes of Abuse
Themes of Suicide
*Most likely not too extreme
What do I need to do?A few notes that apply to everyone:
Try to keep in good contact, if you’re going on hiatus or need to inform me of something, please make sure to have good communication about it!!
When you receive the role, you’ll be given access to the crew discord server
Try to stick to deadlines when they are provided, but I am more than willing to provide extensions or discuss other alternatives if you find you are unable to stick to them due to any personal issues or other things.
If you are given information for a new short/episode do not share anything about it until the short/episode is released!
Make sure to have fun! :] It’s a very open and relaxed project
VOICE ACTORS
You’ll be provided a script or animatic (with a script included) when your character plays a role.
You will be required to do a few takes, but not a lot, only a few of your best takes (around 2 - 5)! If you really struggle to cut down your recordings, I’ll be happy to do it for you, but it’s better if you can do it!
You may be asked to redo certain takes, but I try to keep asking that to a minimum!
Sounds like grunts are also important in certain parts (e.g your character is hit or in battle)
, so bear in mind you may also have to do those if it is neededClear, clean recordings, no background noise in your recordings!
Be prepared to record a range of strong emotions in your takes!
ARTISTS
I’ll be working closely with you during the project as an artist myself! We’ll be having lots of discussions and reviews about different work that is made for the show
If you’re a concept artist, your role is pretty much to create concepts and ideas for designs and environments (based on the roles I am looking for at the time)
If you’re an official artist (e.g background artist, promotional artist) you’ll be sending progress of the artwork you create and follow closely to the animatics and final concepts! You’ll be provided sketches/briefs/animatics to help with this. You may also be working with other artists on the project!
MUSICIANS
You will be shown finished animatics/animations of the shorts/episodes and will be given a short brief for it if there is no visual work at the moment (such as for a trailer or a teaser). The themes that each short/episode presents should correlate well with the soundtrack. While I am not as musically inclined I will be working with you to help review the progress and final music to ensure it fits the theme of the episode/short, since I will also be working with post production/editing etc.
You may be requested to remake parts or redo entire soundtracks, but I try to keep this to an absolute minimum and only request this if I feel it is absolutely necessary, so be prepared in the event that it occurs
A few notes that apply to everyone:
I will be more inclined to recruit people who are around 17 and above, but my auditions are open for those 15 and above. Keep this in mind when auditioning!

VOICE ACTORS
Most minor roles are usually one offs for shorts unless stated otherwise, but there is a chance you may be called back for another part of the series! There are lots of minor roles that will show up on the casting call over time!
If you are auditioning for a lead role, please keep in mind that you’ll be expected to take a longer position in the project than a minor role, since you’ll be playing a character that’ll play a larger role in the series!
Make sure to read the role of the character you’re auditioning for well before you audition! It’s quite relaxed so you’re welcome to take creative liberties!
You don't need a fancy microphone as long as your audio is clear and clean!
ARTISTS

If you’re wondering what kind of music it is, the genre can be compared to that of Legend of Zelda:Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom music, with its fantasy scenes and variety of instruments used to match the different environments!
Deadlines for auditions will be August the 6th, 9PM BST! (If roles are not filled by then the deadline will be extended for a further two weeks or until a role is closed)

Deadline's approaching!
I'm absolutely overwhelmed by the reach this project has gotten! Thank you all so much for auditioning and showing interest in my project, it really means a lot!
As the deadline is fast approaching, the currently open voice actor roles will be closed and you will be contacted soon after if you have been selected for a role!
If you don't get a role you have auditioned for and are still interested in this project, don't fret! A variety of voice actor roles will open once more when the time comes, so don't be afraid to follow this project and apply for other roles too!

Lead role in For What It's Worth.
An outgoing, charismatic and confident young adult, Tikkari is always joyful and optimistic, having a large social circle. She is very close to her best friend, Wyro, but they have a bit of a rocky relationship.
Tikkari is what you would call a "Jack of All Trades" per se, having many skills due to her drifting between careers. She can also be smug and sly at times, and is always training to get stronger.
Voice
A very bubbly and upbeat voice, not too low or high. Very expressive with her emotions! No specific accent.
You can check the Original Casting Call if you'd like an idea of what she'd sound like, but it's not limited to the ones shown! Most of the descriptions for her and other characters showcased are no longer canon to the story.

Lead role in For What It's Worth.
Wyro is a gruff and stoic character with a sharp tongue, always preferring to keep to himself . He owns a business and tries to keep a good work ethic, being professional and respectful to his employees and in public. Most who don't know him well may say that he can be quite harsh if irritated, but deep down he cares deeply for those who are close to him. He hates wasting his time and doesn't always take too kindly to Tikkari's shenanigans. His harsh nature causes him to push people away, and prevent him from making meaningful relationships.
