Flakes Nightmare | Minecraft Horror Roleplay (Bedrock)
Project Overview
Introduction
Welcome! This is a casting call for the first season of Flakes Nightmare. Flakes Nightmare is a horror based series inspired by the occult game series known as Five Nights at Freddy's by Scott Cawthon. This project is featured as a Minecraft Roleplay (Bedrock), and will be shown on the "TheOldTimeGamer" YouTube channel. Flakes Nightmare follows a man with a cynical agenda who finds himself doing dirty work that unknowingly leads him to greater threats. This series may not be for everyone as it’s aimed towards a more mature, and older audience. The roleplay deals with adult concepts such as intense language, realistic violence, simulated crimes, and many other mature topics. Please proceed carefully, and thank you!
I am currently casting for voice actors that can play permanent roles throughout the entire series. If you wish to audition for multiple characters, then you can, you’ll just have to put in the extra effort. If you are chosen to play a character, and you're skilled enough to play multiple roles, then I may ask you to send me lines of another character if you are up for the challenge.
Flakes Nightmare takes place in America, during the year 1970, which means that every role is in the English language. The time period may alter the way that characters speak, and what they say, so please be wary of strong language.
About Flakes Nightmare
“Flakes Nightmare” will be an episodic series. It falls into the category of a drama/horror series. As stated before, Flakes Nightmare is inspired by Five Nights At Freddy’s, meaning that you may label it as a FNAF fan project, or a FNAF roleplay. Although very similar, Flakes Nightmare has a completely unique storyline with a wide variety of different characters, and realistic settings. It may share some similar topics as FNAF, but it also stays true to itself, and holds up it's name as being original.
Dead Lines & Auditions
As you can view above, the deadline for auditions is now on June 15, 2022. Currently, the full script for all of Flakes Nightmare season 1 is complete, and ready to be handed out to voice actors. Along with the script, the entire set for the first season is completely finished in Minecraft, and ready for filming. If you wish to audition please understand that there will be hard deadlines for voice actors to submit their lines on time, as I wish to be done with production by this Fall. If you are not able to meet certain deadlines, and submit voice lines on time, then please do not audition.
Expectations
You will become a part of the team, and you will be able to collaborate, and work with other great voice actors, and team players. As a part of the Old Time Studios team, we will all grow, and learn together to build a fun, and helping community.
Discord is the essential platform used for communication. In the Old Time Studios discord server is where we will be working together, and building a passionate community for storytelling. If you are unfamiliar with discord, then I strongly advise you to please become well established with it as it provides a great work environment.

Requirements*
Discord - As explained above, we will be using discord to communicate, submit voice lines, work together, etc.
Audacity - Audacity is the software that we will be using to record voice lines. It’s a great platform that provides quality audio for projects, and don’t worry, it’s 100% free! Just download it, and get familiar with it, it’s very simple to use. If audacity is not compatible with your device for whatever reason, then you are allowed to use another recording software, as long as it still provides clean/quality audio. Just get my approval by sending me an example voice line first.
Good audio quality - Although audacity is amazing with quality, it is great to have good mic quality to increase clean recordings. You don’t have to own a professional microphone, just something that allows me to perfectly hear your fabulous voice. Please keep background noise to a minimum as well, as having disturbances significantly reduces audio quality.
Submit your voice lines as either a .wav file, or an .mp3 file. Preferably .wav, but .mp3 also does the trick.
Have an open schedule - It’s important to have a reliable team. So having voice actors that are able to complete, and submit their voice lines on time is essential. Once again, If you are very busy, and not able to complete your voice work, or submit your voice work on time, then please do not audition.
Be able to stick around for the journey. We are most likely going to make more projects in the future, and I’d love to keep the same people, and return to familiar, and reliable voice actors that I’ve worked with before. So please be mindful of sticking around for the long run.
Have fun - Remember that it’s all about your passion, and without the fun, there is no passion. I want you to enjoy your experience working on this project, and admire your talent. Your talent should be able to grow, and be heard. A project without passion is empty. So please remember to have fun with it!
Filming
In case you are confused about the whole Minecraft thing, I will clarify. The entire set for Flakes Nightmare has been completely built, and detailed in a Minecraft PC Bedrock world, I have also created unique custom skins for each character for the body actors to use. The voice acting, and body acting for this project are separate. There will be a team of different people actually performing the physical actions of each character in the Minecraft world. Meaning that voice actors only have to worry about delivering their voice lines. When Auditioning
When recording your voice lines, do not say anything but your lines. This will make things a lot easier, and will improve the quality of your application. Please put your discord handle in the notes section of your application if you have one (Example : Coolguy#1234). You can also put your name, and age, and any other information you want me to know. If you do multiple takes just say what take you are on before saying your voice line. Also, do not edit your voice with an affect. There will be certain characters that will have an effect added to their voice, but I will take care of that myself when editing. The Music Composer for Flakes Nightmare will be responsible for creating all of the music for the Series. This includes simple background music, suspense music, and even the main theme. I am looking for a tone that fits this series the best, and will create a familiar, and unique sound. The series will require a lot of dark ambiences along with some heartfelt, and enticing scores. I am granting the Music Composer full creative liberties meaning there can be infinite possibilities of what kind of music is created. Don’t forget deadlines are important, the Music Composer will have to create, and share with me the piece that they’ve created for certain scenes on time. That being said, I will be choosing the Music Composer who has created the best score that fits, and sets a rich tone, and ambience for Flakes Nightmare. The role of a body actor will be considered an artist. Body actors are responsible for actually being in the Minecraft world, and performing the physical actions of each character.
