Fallout New Vegas Mod: Radio Mojave, A quest for a radio host.
Project Overview
Summary mod:
In this mod the player has to find a potential radio host for the new radio station, Radio Mojave.
Note that if you audition for one of the potential radio hosts you should also be comfortable with lines that aren't dialogue audio but also radio host lines.
What I'm looking for:
I'm looking for voice actors who can voice a cast of eccentric NPCs. This mod isn't 18+ but I do require all my voice actors to be above 18 years old.
You'll have to be able to send your lines in the correct format saved under the names that I'll be sending you with the lines.
Your audio files need to be mono WAV files, encoded in 44.1KHz 16-bit PCM.
Audacity is a great way to achieve that.
Also pointing out any typos in the script I send you will be greatly appreciated! I'm not a native English speaker so any help is nice.
Where will it be published and when:
My mod will be uploaded onto the Nexus. I'll send everyone a link once it will be published.
When is a little harder to answer. That will depend on how quickly everyone sends in their audio files but most importantly it depends on how quickly I find people for the project in the first place.
Are these all the roles?
There's a small chance I'll be adding more roles. But these will most likely be very small extra roles with just a line or two.

I just cast every role! Once again many thanks to everyone who auditioned! If you got the role please check the project chat!

Almost there!
Hey everyone, I'm currently in the process of casting the roles! I already picked some but since I want to cast all the roles at the same time I'm going to wait until I've decided on all of them! I hope I'll be able to cast all the roles before the end of the week! Thank you to everyone who auditioned!
- William is the owner of Radio Mojave who's searching for a new radio host for his radio station.
- He should sound charismatic but sleazy in a used car salesman kind of way.
- He's in his mid-forties.
Attention listeners! This is your chance for stardom. Radio Mojave is looking for a new radio host after the last one... mysteriously disappeared- Oh I meant retired! Yes, retired. Definitely... definitely retired.
Hey there. The name's William Richardson, and I'll be your future boss. If you pass this audition that is.
Which I really hope you do. Running a radio show without a radio host hasn't been going so well.
I'll be honest with you, Kid. That was so awful that I feel like you should be paying me for the emotional and physical damage I'm sure you just did to me. You heard of face made for radio? Well, you have a voice made to never be heard by anyone ever.
- Debbie is the secretary of Radio Mojave.
- She's in her late twenties to early thirties.
- Should sound upbeat in a clearly fake corporate kind of way.
You are? That's amazing. Just fill in this form.
And sign this waiver that agrees you do not hold us accountable for any injury or dismemberment you may sustain on the premise of our office.
(Last lines should be said as quick as possible, as if you don't want the player to understand what you are saying)
Good day, how can I help you?
(Just pick a couple of lines!)
“Happy to help!” ...
“I understand how (blank) that must be.” ...
“As much as I'd love to help …” ...
“Great question! ...
“Nice to meet you!” ...
“May I ask why that is?” ...
“Thanks for bringing this to our attention!”
- Note that this is a big role! Only apply if you're capable of recording a lot of lines.
- Elizabeth can be found in the ultra-luxe and while she's not a part of the white glove society she is as fancy as they are.
- She's one of the potential radio hosts and thus should sound elegant and seductive despite her sometimes fourth wall breaking lines.
- She's in her mid-thirties.
That sounds... shady. Care to explain yourself before I pepper spray you in the face?
Oh, well why didn't you just start with that. And whoever informed you was right, I'm an excellent candidate to be your next radio host.
I do! I know it makes no sense in any way shape or form but I think once you give me a key that you can find in this cave I can leave this place.
- Note that this is a big role! Only apply if you're capable of recording a lot of lines.
- Greg can be found in The Tops, he's currently working there because he's in their debt. He should sound just like all the other men who work at the Tops.
- He's one of the potential radio hosts and thus should have a smooth voice fit for radio.
- He's in his mid-thirties.
Hey hey, fella! How's it hanging?
Hey hey baby, doll! How's it hanging?
Luckily for us The Tops doesn't just accept caps. It accepts treasure as well. Currently, they're looking for the skull of the giant brahmin. And luckily for you, I have the map for it. And before you ask why I don't get it myself. Well... Someone has to walk around this casino doing nothing, right?
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our program. This is Mr. Mojave, and each and every one of you is wonderful in your own special way.
- Note that this is a big role! Only apply if you're capable of recording a lot of lines.
- He can be found across of the Kings building. Not much is known about him other than the fact that he would make a good radio host.
- He's a ghoul and his age is unknown.
- Despite being a ghoul he's one of the potential radio hosts and thus should sound fit for radio but at the same time keep the same gravely voice a ghoul typically has.
- Even though he's a potential radio host upon first meeting him, he doesn't say a lot. To the point of instead of greeting the player he just stares at them.
Just like that. If you haven't noticed yet, I'm a ghoul. Not that many people are willing to hire ghouls so I'll take what I can get.
Okay.
Sure.
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. This is Mr. Mojave. Thank you very very much for listening.
Hi! I'm the key you want to pick up. But I won't let you do that without answering this question first.
Yeah, that sounds about right! I accept that answer. Now let's move on to the next question.
Huh... Okay, I guess.
(Should sound surprised but at the same time not really caring about it at all)
