The authoritarians had lost a decisive battle against a rival republic, which ultimately annex's the protagonists homeland. Years after the war, our protagonist finds himself as a petty arms dealer becoming fed up with republic bureaucracy. He begins turning his attention away from making revenue and towards destabilizing the republics grasp of his homeland through economic espionage, in hopes that he may start a new authoritarian government.
Age: 28 (relatively young, but a man experienced and weathered by war)
Voice type: Mature and raspy
Protagonist: (Narrating) As I shot down my assailant, he dropped to the floor violently with a squeal. I looked down at his corpse to discover a young boy, no older than 18 or 19. He was wearing torn and worn out cloths, but it was without a doubt a legion uniform. Poor kid must’ve been hiding out on the hill top for weeks ever since hoover dam. He was just a recruit, which explains his ill experience with a firearm. The Legion didn't much like teaching recruits how to shoot, better they just charge their opponents with spears and machetes than rely on the convenience of a gun they said.
Protagonist: (Narration) I was heading towards an NCR security checkpoint on the road ahead. I’ve already had plenty of trouble smuggling weapons through these checkpoints before, but I needed to cross over to the other side, and the two soldiers guarding the checkpoint already seemed pretty laxed. That’s the consequence of sending young recruits to patrol the mojave for days at a time, they're probably wishing for a goddamn nuclear winter.
A wealthy successful mobster and casino owner, fed up with the degeneracy of his work.
Age: 34 (middle aged, mobster)
Voice type: Mature, new york/jersey accent
Cachino: Damn right I am, do you know how fed up I've become with all the sensualist bullshit I deal with everyday. look around you, gamblers, whores, chem addicts, It’s fucking pathetic. Wasting their lives away, trying to ignore the futility of it all by fucking and drinking. I’m sick of it, and i’m sick of this damn strip! It’s about time we had some change around here. The last thing humanity needs is another New Reno, and that’s exactly what Vegas has turned into.
A young receptionist
