EMERGENCY CASTING CALL! Voices needed for main characters. | Social Outcasts
Project Overview
We are EJ and Mib. We are the creators of Social Outcasts. What is Social Outcasts? Social Outcasts (sometimes shortened as Sosh) is an online comedy cartoon about two groups of people who meet each other and end up living together. They get into crazy hijinks and through these situations, they form an unlikely bond with one another and in a way become a makeshift family. You can see more about it on our Twitter page. Due to some unexpected departures, we are currently looking for two people to fill in the roles for two more of the main characters. These characters are Elle and Vasili.
THIS IS PAID WORK BUT NOTE THAT SINCE THIS IS A SMALL PROJECT, ALL THE MONEY IS CURRENTLY COMING OUT OF OUR POCKET. WE WILL TRY TO BE AS FAIR WITH THE PAYMENTS AS POSSIBLE. (We will use PayPal to deliver the money but in the case you don’t have PayPal, we are willing to discuss your payment method).
Keep in mind, we are very new to this and are inexperienced but we are learning and will try to keep and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our cast.
ROLES
Note: THESE CHARACTERS WILL BE REOCCURING. While this is a cartoon, we aren't looking for any voices that are too over the top. We are mainly looking for people who are able to give off very natural sounding voices and able to act accordingly. We expect that the deadlines will be met but if anything occurs where that won’t be possible, feel free to let us know.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Must have an XLR microphone and an isolated environment/treated room to record yourself.
- Able to do rerecordings of lines in the event of a bad take or requested line.
- Preferably has Discord and be able to join Discord calls (if necessary).
- Work well with others.
- Able to take direction and have the capability to achieve the director’s vision.
- Understands comedy and timing.

Vasili is a 42 year old Russian guy who can be nihilistic at times, is seen as self-serving by many and tends to show little to no empathy for others. But on the inside, he cares for the people he deems close to him. Sometimes he can come across as a bit silly or odd as a method to try and lighten his mood with jaded sarcasm etc. I guess he's kinda like Grunkle Stan, except Russian and lives with two dudes (Andrake and Marty) instead of a niece/nephew duo. Vasili vocal range is around mid range. He doesn't have that deep Russian voice or a cartoonishly stereotypical Russian accent but he does have a noticable Russian accent.
(is welcoming Matias, shaking his hand aggressively)

(nonchalantly, trying to calm Andrake down)
Relax Andrake, it’s a holding cell. We aren’t in prison. Believe me, I know what a prison is like.
(angry, he’s just been hit in the head with a fruit out of nowhere)
GAH! WHO DID THAT?!
Elle is a 23 year old Mexican woman from Texas. She is very optimistic, very easy going, and at times can be very emotional but is very caring especially to the people she surrounds herself with. She's very mature and friendly. She's been with her group (Matias, Normal, and Kaey) for a couple of years so to her, they're basically family. While she is from Texas, she doesn't have a very heavy Texan accent (ex. Sandy Cheeks, Rancher, Deep southern drawl) but does have a bit of a southern touch in her talk. She knows how to speak Spanish so a Spanish speaking actress would definitely be something we'd definitely be looking at as well. Her vocal range is around the middle/high range.
(calmly trying to resolve the argument between the two teens, Kaey and Normal)

(in a passive aggressive tone)
