Hey everyone! With permission from the creator, I will be producing a dub of the Webtoon Canvas comic, DeathSitter.
About the project:
This project is a dubbing of Ch1 of the Webtoon Canvas comic, DeathSitter. DeathSitter follows the story of Felix, a deadbeat drug addict, who ends up babysitting the local town grim reaper’s daughter. You do not have to have read the comic prior, however it is recommended. You can read it here:

CONTENT WARNING: This webtoon includes topics of profanity, drug use, and violence with instances of gore. Please keep this in mind when auditioning. Characters who do not use profanity will be marked as such.
Guidelines:
1) Mics with little to no background noise
2) 2-3 takes per line and no slating is preferred, however your audition will still be considered.
3) Please adhere to deadlines, and communicate if you need extensions. We aim for a two week turnaround for lines after casting.
4) Have fun! This is a passion project to have fun making and being a part of a project. We do however plan to handle it as professionally as possible. :)
Please also keep in mind:
-We plan to communicate through discord. If you’d like to take part but not work through discord though we can work something out!
-Characters found in the chapter that aren’t listed here were cast prior
-Some characters may need to scream, yell, or shout, and most characters have additional action or reaction grunts. Please be prepared to do so if needed.
-***Vocal suggestions have been provided, but feel free to do your own take on the characters as you see fit! I’m looking for expressive and distinct voices.
An 18 year old, unusually lucky, deadbeat druggie. His demeanor is usually nonchalant, pleasant, and friendly, but can switch to intense paranoia, pessimism, and desperation when craving his next high. His goal is answers from Lloyd, but this is often overshadowed by his obsession for drugs.
Voice: mid range, teen/young adult, youthful, slight rasp (NOT looking for typical druggie voice)
(nonchalant, cheery) Man.. Really thought I was done for that time… Aww, man! Life is such a miracle…
(surprised, then hesitant, then worried) “Babysitter???” Man, I dunno, that’s a lot of responsibility… and uh…when I came over I didn’t think I would be gone so long, I don’t have my…
(intensely freaked out) Fuck fuck shit shit shit-!! Clothes! It was clothes!! Oh god, okay- KID!! No more games!! I’m gonna count to ONE!!!
Your friendly, neighborhood grim reaper. Lloyd serves his community by helping the deceased pass along, and is also the father to Mary. A generally well-mannered, friendly guy. Is very protective of Mary, and can switch to enraged and threatening in moments of anger and desperation. Tries to see the best in Felix.
Voice: Mid/mid-high, slightly tired dad, slightly nasal

(disappointed but not surprised) *sigh* I think there might have been a misunderstanding… This kid is just Felix. He’s not dead. He’s just doing DRUGS again.

(in desperation and intensely angered, barely keeping it together, and snapping at the end) You ungrateful… pain in my neck… If you don’t march home right now, you can find another idiot willing to put up with your smug attitude. Go. HOME.
A charming, kind, and aloof fortune teller. Seems to know more than she’s letting on. Kind, welcoming, and a bit cheeky, and carries an air of mystery. Alway smiling, whether being friendly, or hiding what she truly knows behind a friendly demeanor

(light-hearted) You get into a lot of trouble, risk your life on a daily basis- However… not even the luckiest rabbit can avoid the farmers blade forever! <3
(mysterious, knows more than shes telling) There are some things we never truly stop thinking about. I’d say it would be good to finally have a talk. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to move on?
A regular guy who finds a passed out Felix on the street and calls in the “body” to Lloyd. Is slightly unsure and worried about calling in, but perks up and is cheerful when talking to Lloyd.

(cheery) Right! Yes, yes. I’ve seen your commercial on TV, lots of times!

One of Lloyds two brothers. Charming and sarcastic, and likes irritating Lloyd. Is usually bored when it comes to work, and doesn’t take many situations very seriously

Looking for someone to compose the tune for the jingle in the comic. Responsibilities include coming up with the melody, composing the music, and providing the music in a usable file. Looking for an old timey commercial vibe (50s-70s), that’s around 10 seconds long. We would prefer if possible to have a longer version as well (1-2 minutes).
Please provide either a sample tune, or previous work.
