Project Overview
Dawnsbury Days is a 2024 turn-based tactics videogame with a 95%+ overwhelmingly positive rating out of 600 reviews on Steam. It's a singleplayer sincere and positive RPG story about a group of childhood friends who rise up to defend their hometown from evil monsters.
Good Little Children Never Grow Up is an upcoming DLC expansion to the video game. It is the story of a group heroes exploring a haunted house where terrible things have happened 20 years ago, and the heroes must discover them, exorcise any evil left in the manor and rescue civilians who have ventured in and have been trapped inside.
This casting call is for one additional role — a voidtouched demon who is summoned to the haunted house from another universe as part of an easter egg crossover with another video game (Dragon's Demand by Ossian Studios).
No AI. Dawnsbury Days doesn't use AI, I will not use your voice for AI and your contract will include the NAVA AI rider.
Timeline. I expect to cast in a couple of days after the casting call deadline and then I will need you to deliver your lines still in September 2025.

You play Cthepaltangoulgi, a demon of arson.
When the player characters invoke a summoning spell and use the wrong words, the spell accidentally summons a demon from another universe. The demon's power has been greatly enhanced by the summoning but the demon is angry — he's in an alien universe, he's trapped in a summoning circle, and, well, he's a demon — wanting to rage and destroy things is in a demon's nature.
This demon is part of an easter egg crossover with another video game (Dragon's Demand by Ossian Studios) and is happy to monologue exposition about that universe, especially to gloat about how important he is and how far beneath him the player characters are.
The demon has a growly, rough but also insidious and charming voice. Much like other Dawnsbury Days characters, he enunciates well. His voice should have gravity, charisma and deep presence, but this should not come at the cost of speed of delivery. There shouldn't be many or any "blank spots" where nothing is being said.
We think a growly but soft Scottish accent would work well for the demon, but the accent is not a requirement, and a simple American or British accent could work, too; rather than accent, the most important aspects of the voice are the demonic color and the self-confident charisma.
This demon is a classic evil villain aware of his own villainy, but despite this, the game takes itself seriously. Despite corny lines, your voice should not "mock the game" or sound satirical.

(angered; when the main character (blood scion) resists his mind control spell) Curse you all! You are insufferable! If you will not do Hastur's will, blood scion, you will die too!
(perverse pleasure) I can taste the madness in this place, hear the pleasing echoes of evil deeds pass through the walls and floors below. Much more agreeable than Hunclay's manor. It feels almost... homely.
