Courage (an LGBTQ original skit)
Project Overview
An original skit (meant to be performed live, but will be posted as an animatic on YouTube) written by me. It's an LGBTQ+ drama about a girl asking out her crush.

I need an artist to help me finish this comic since I am unable to do the art myself, being too busy with schoolwork and activities. It doesn't matter your style, but I'd prefer something borderline cartoony and relatively quick and easy to complete. You must be able to draw people (2 girls, one non-binary person you can take some liberty with) and convey emotion. I will be creating loose storyboards and sharing a Google Drive folder of them for you to see them and upload yours.
Say something you think would fit
Chase is the main character of Courage. She's a closeted lesbian, but her friend Wren knows. She's to scared to ask out her crush, and Wren must help her overcome her fear.
I'm a girl, G-I-R-L. You're non-binary and just wanted to be non-binary publicly. Dysphoria and depression are pretty serious matters compared to this. Besides, it fits you better anyways.
Just give me time, okay? I'll come out in time, it's just a kind of big deal. You should know that.
The school play. Scarlett was a lead. That was when I first saw her. She was dressed up as a boy on stage with a short wig and I leaned over to Becca and said 'He's cute.' (pause) The look on Becca's face was priceless. She turned to me: 'Chase, he's a girl.'
Wren is a Chase's non-binary friend, and the only one who knows that she's a lesbian, and is trying to get her to ask her crush out.
Okay, okay. Maybe you don't get that reason as well, but let me put it to you this way. How long have you liked Scarlett, Chase? What's your first memory.
That's not the point, Chase. Scarlett is an attractive, sparky girl attracting lots of attention from both genders. She's not going to be single much longer. Heck, I heard Stephen say he was going to ask her out to the dance next week, and I know you want to go there with her. You just have to work up the courage to ask her.
The way you act around her, look at her, the way you talk to her. You're in love with her. It's not even a possibility to her. She's not the one waiting on your every move. You are, which means you're the one who has to take initiative.
Scarlett is Chase's love interest in the script, she doesn't have many lines, but is extremely important, as the skit is focused around her.
Chasey? Did you forget something?
Of course, we could stop by Panera with Wren and Becca-
Chasey, you always assume the worst. Why not? I think dinner and the dance sounds fun, so long as you're sure about this.
