Project Overview

Count! Your! Stars! is an original character tournament (OCT) where competitors will go on a planet-hopping adventure to the centre of a system. No further spoilers than that, you'll have to wait and see how things turn out :)

The tournament will be hosted on Discord as well as its own website for archival purposes. This is the third season of the tournament, but each season is mostly self-contained (you will be informed of all necessary details if you get a part, don't worry).

The parts we are looking to fill are the two co-hosts, who will be introducing each round. The introduction videos will be done in a visual-novel-esque style similar to Epithet Erased, or OCTs like Chop 2 the Top. All those interested in auditioning must be available to record their characters until the end of May 2023, when the introduction for the final round will take place.

  • Minor delay in deadline

    Unfortunately, a hurricane has blown through where our animator lives and has knocked out the electrical grid, meaning they are not able to listen to all of the auditions. Because of this, the decision-making process will be postponed, and as we still have a manageable number of auditions, we feel that there's no harm in leaving the audition period open until then. This shouldn't be a major delay, although we do unfortunately not have an exact time/date when everything will be sorted. To everyone who has already auditioned, you've all done amazingly! - Poly

Cosmora is little gremlin of a woman, with incredible nigh omnipotent power and a flare for the theatrics. She is very intelligent, but you wouldn't be able to tell from how she acts. There is a degree of seriousness lying underneath her melodramatic surface, but she doesn't show it much.

  • Oh please. Do you really think I’m so pathetic that just because the Madam meddled with one of my tournaments AGAIN, I’d come running to you crying and asking for ice cream?

Jo is a very serious and dry person, much more interested in maths and theoretical physics than the practical and theatrical aspects Cosmora likes. Though she is not as emotive as Cosmora and can often come across as constantly irritated by her, she appreciates her friend's charm and enjoys being close with her all the same.

  • ...Fine. But purely on the production side of things. I will not co-host with you on stage, do you understand?

    Very well. This black hole was created using divine physics, which is to say, physics beyond the understanding of mortals, manipulatable only by us Governesses. Like all black holes, this one emits Hawking radiation, but in amounts that put to shame any other.
