About the artist

First off, let me say thank you for your interestin voicing a character for Cosmic Rage. It has always been my dream to bring characters to life for people to enjoy, and potentially with your voice work, we can make memorable characters for fans.

Since I was a kid I have had a passion for storytelling and moving images. In 2009 I graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in General Art, with an emphasis in classical animation. In my final semester at SDSU, 3 fellow classmates of mine and I were selected to compete in the KAFI Cartoon Challenge, a competition in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in which only ten teams were selected nationally. We were given four days to animate a public service announcement in which the topic was revealed at the start of Day 1. 

 After this competition, I entered the industry, winning several awards from the South Dakota Advertising Federation and most recently, a Communicator Award at Lemonly.

Cosmic Rage is a story I have been working on for a couple years now. With the help of the South Dakota Arts Council and a recent project grant, I now have the opportunity to take Cosmic Rage to a higher level, with your help and your talent.

  • Episode 1 is Done!

    Hey everyone! My apologies for the lack of updates, but I have been super busy putting the final touches on Cosmic Rage episode 1. The first episode is at almost 22 minutes in length believe it or not. Over the course of the next few months I will be releasing the episode in small animated segments, before releasing the epsiode in full. Here are a few ways you can follow the project if you like.

Marik was in a branch of the army before the meteor impact. His bloodlines run deep in serving in the US military. His parents both passed away while he was deployed during the impact. He was part of a select group of soldiers to form a new special forces by the US government. He took over command of the branch after Gage and others went missing.

Similar-Style Character: Light Yagami (Deathnote)


Marik will win at all costs. While organization is his strong suit, he doesn’t handle losing well when he puts in such effort to succeed. When he loses his temper, he has a tendency to make decisions he wouldn’t normally make.


*Currently revising the script. Chances are pretty solid his role will pay, its just a matter of determining the amount, $0-$50

Riley Cade

Riley was always getting into trouble as a kid, too smart for his own good. He grew up in a household with just a single working mother, so she rarely punished him after his incidents. After the impact, Riley was unable to locate his mother in the chaos. Marik and the special forces found him on a mission, and eventually Marik worked to train Riley into a special forces soldier.

Similar-Style Character: Spike (Cowboy Bebop)

Riley is easy-going and laid back. He waits for all the information and then will make an appropriate response or action. His empathy towards other humans can sometimes leave him torn between two solutions.

Jani Laine

Jani’s mother died during her birth, so Jani naturally took after her father. Following in his footsteps, Jani chose to live a life by the badge. She rose through the Chicago Police Department ranks quickly, working toward her life goal of restoring order to the city. Her life has only known chaos, and stories of a civilized society drive her as the lead police officer.

Jani is a hard-working police officer with avery idealistic outlook on the rebuilding ofsociety. She tends to be a bit naive in trustingothers too quickly, believing others want a structure society as the one before the impact.

Robee has always enjoyed fighting. Growing up, Robee was a very distinguished fighter, earning various honors and awards. After the meteor impact, he was forced to use his abilities in a chaotic world as muscle-for-hire. He ended up working for the syndicate at the same time Myza started. They both grew, and eventually Myza was able to persuade him to help her overtake the syndicate.

Profession: Fighter (Myza’s right hand)

Height: 6’5”

Weight: 250 lbs

Worst Trait: Arrogant

Similar-Style Character: Cell (Dragonball Z)

The strong silent type. Robee follows Myza’s orders to the T. However, when given the chance, Robee can be a mean and brutal fighter. This rarely comes out because he takes his work for Myza seriously. His actions could be a result of not thinking for himself often.

  • “I am sure you understand. Now, if you will excuse me...”

The police force responds to directions from Jani after a mission briefing. I need a variety of "Understood!" responses. The police force is on board with the mission so they are ready to go. No pessimism or sarcastic tones.

Sami grew up in a well-to-do family. The son of a nurse (mother) and lawyer (father), Sami felt a strong duty to spend his life serving others. He joined the police force to serve the citizens of Chicago. Sami has taken a mentoring role to Jani and other newer police officers.

Sami tends to look over his fellow officers, almost as a fatherly figure. His sense of duty and debt to rebuilding society is something he takes seriously, since he inherited that attitude from his parents.

*Currently Sami's character is slated for one line, so there is no budget for VO. However, since the script is still be finalized he may be awarded more lines and the budget could change.

Zeth grew up on the streets after being abandoned as a child. He learned the art of Muay Thai fighting from a trainer that saw potential in his attitude and energy as a child. He defends his reputation as a talented and decorated fighter in bouts against all challengers. Zeth absolutely hates to fail, and will stop at nothing to succeed and get what he wants.

Worst Trait: Stubborn

Similar-Style Character: Vegeta (Dragonball Z)

Zeth is a very determined individual; he will stop at nothing to get what he wants. While this may be considered a strong sense of character, his stubborn and determined nature will often get him into some tough situations.

  • “This is it. It's been almost a year since I’ve had that belt around my waist. With this, I'll reclaim my title as champion. I've trained harder for this match than I have for any other.”

A former street thug, Fenix joined Myza's crew. After developing his skills, he joined Myza’s underground fighting promotion and soon became a twelve-time champion. Fenix’s lack of discipline is what makes him a fighter instead of working as Myza’s right-hand man. When he isn’t defending his championship, Fenix roams the streets of Chicago, contributing to the chaos.

Similar-Style Character: Joker (Batman)

Fenix prides himself as being unpredictableand chaotic. When he isn’t fighting for Myza, he is roaming the streets of Chicago, contributingto the chaos and hindering rebuilding efforts.

Myza Kain

Myza had a very rough upbringing. Even though she is a high school drop out, she is intelligent. She joined a crime syndicate at the age of 16. She worked her way up the rankings over the years and became 2nd in command. Myza organized the leaders’ assassination and took over as the commander of the syndicate. She expanded the empire into its current model.

Worst Trait: Over confident

Similar-Style Character: Vince McMahon (WWE)

Myza relentlessly pursues anything she is after. As a master of manipulation, she can even turn people against their own interests to get what she wants. Myza will do anything as long as she thinks she can make money off of it.

  • "You are not the only assassin in Chicago with a decorated background. Don't think for a second that I won’t hire someone else if you keep making threats so carelessly.”

Duncan McConkey

Once an aspiring police officer, Duncan became an assassin for hire, operating under a strict code of eliminating only the truly evil. Despite his code of ethics, he tops the Chicago Police Department's most-wanted list. Duncan often feels as if the world moves too slow to envoke change; therefore, he takes drastic measures to help usher in a new way of thinking in the world.

Duncan is a cool, calm and collected assassin. He is a master strategist, and is considered to be one of the most-wanted individuals in Chicago.

*Currently Duncan has one conversation but he may get some more lines added as he is involved in a later scene. His budget is $50-$100 pending the final script if additional lines are added. 

  • “Don't forget to send your courier with the full amount. It would be a shame if I had to collect a few more policies to cover the bill.”

  • “I will take care of him. The details of the situation are of no concern to me.”
