Cece's Fallen Angels (16+)
Project Overview
In the dazzling yet gritty world of Las Vegas, Celeste dreams of stardom, but her path is blocked by an abusive relationship with her boyfriend, Marcus, and the heavy burden of her past. Originally from a small town in Louisiana, Celeste struggles to find her voice in a city that shines bright but casts deep shadows. Surrounded by a diverse group of musicians, Celeste forms a band that becomes her lifeline. The band includes Aria, a shy but fierce backup singer with a secret crush; Daisy, a flirty redhead who uses her charm to mask her insecurities; Julian, a sassy guitarist who initially clashes with Celeste but becomes her strongest support; Jordan, an Australian-born drummer who steers the band from trouble; and Terry, a gruff yet kind-hearted pianist who becomes the father figure she never had. Tessa and Luca, siblings from a tough upbringing, bring their own dynamic to the group. Tessa, the fierce and protective older sister, often clashes with her brother Luca, the youngest member of the band, who brings youthful energy but also his share of challenges. As Celeste battles Marcus' abuse and her own self-doubt, she finds unexpected support from her sister, Eliza. Wealthy and determined to help Celeste, Eliza not only forms the band, calling them "Cece's Fallen Angels," but also buys them a house to live in when Celeste is on the verge of eviction. As the band members navigate the highs and lows of the music industry, they also face their own personal demons—broken relationships, family struggles, and the haunting shadows of their pasts. Celeste's journey is particularly dark as she tries to escape Marcus' grip, but with the help of her sister and her new band family, she learns to fight back. This is a story of love, loss, and redemption, as Celeste and her bandmates discover that the road to success is paved with pain and perseverance. Together, they must rise—or fall—under the glimmering lights of Las Vegas.

Celeste McKnight is a 22-year-old with a Southern accent and a slightly raspy singing voice, embodying a tomboyish style with her long, straight brown hair, emerald green eyes, and pale skin. As the lead singer and guitarist of her band, Celeste is both talented and complex, carrying the burden of her difficult past. Her father, Theodore, died under mysterious circumstances when she was a child, leading to a strained relationship with her mother, Vivian, who pushed Celeste and her younger sister, Eliza, into the spotlight, fostering resentment within her. Having moved to Las Vegas to pursue her dream of a rock singing career, Celeste fell into an abusive relationship with Marcus, who exploited her vulnerabilities. Despite her tough exterior and guarded nature—marked by a constant shifty look and infrequent smiles—she possesses a deep love for music and finds solace in collecting vinyl records, sipping mint tea, and watching sunsets. Celeste is extremely closed off and hesitant to ask for help, yet her interactions within the band reveal her nurturing side. She is protective of Daisy, has a father-daughter relationship with Terry, and has a solid rapport with Jordan. Tessa is a close ally due to their similar personalities, while her relationship with Luca tends to be indifferent. Celeste’s evolving relationship with Julian starts off rocky but blossoms into love by season 3, with him becoming her most significant supporter. Her journey highlights themes of resilience and self-discovery, as she learns to balance her passion for music with her personal struggles, ultimately seeking to break free from her past and embrace her true self.

Daisy Brookes, 23, is a backup singer with a higher-pitched, loud voice, known for her long, curly ginger hair and ocean-blue eyes. Despite her superficial tendencies, Daisy has depth, especially highlighted in her own episode. She dresses in stylish, expensive designer clothes and enjoys fashion, music, and animals, often seeking to impress those around her. While she looks up to Celeste and is oblivious to Julian’s annoyance, she also has a close bond with her siblings and friends, including Aria and Jordan. *quiet, affectionate* "What's this, Dearest? A nightmare daring to bother my precious girl?"
*reflective, talking to his child* "Ah, now that's a band from Las Vegas, my old stomping grounds before I found myself here in Louisiana."
*happy* "It is indeed, my dear. A city dull of dreams, music, and a god deal of chaos. But nothing I couldn't handle."
Vivian McKnight is a complex character shaped by loss and love. At 45 years old, she carries the weight of her late husband Theodore’s death, which occurred when their daughters, Celeste and Eliza, were still young. With dark brown hair, long and straight with a few gray strands, and warm green eyes, she possesses a gentle, motherly demeanor. Her Southern accent adds a sweet, comforting tone to her voice, although it often carries a hint of sadness. Vivian is very protective and nurturing, especially toward Eliza, with whom she shares a close bond. However, her relationship with Celeste is fraught with tension and misunderstandings. Following Theodore’s passing, Vivian leaned on her daughters for support, struggling to navigate her grief and raising them alone. In an attempt to cope with their father’s absence and to secure their futures, she pushed her daughters into country singing, believing it to be a path to stability. Unfortunately, her intentions were misinterpreted by Celeste, who felt exploited rather than supported. Despite her anxieties and the strain in her relationship with Celeste, Vivian’s love for her daughters is profound. She embodies the essence of a mother trying to balance her need for connection with her daughters while also grappling with her own unresolved grief. As the story unfolds, Vivian’s journey reveals the complexities of motherhood, the challenges of communication, and the enduring nature of love amidst heartache.

Eliza McKnight is the vibrant, younger sister of Celeste, radiating energy and warmth wherever she goes. At 19, she has established herself in the fashion industry, gaining success early in life, and is characterized by her bleached blonde hair, a bold contrast to her naturally dark brown roots. Her upbeat and outgoing personality, coupled with her Southern accent, makes her instantly likable, especially in contrast to her more reserved sister. Though physically distant from Celeste, Eliza’s love for her sister runs deep. She jumps into action when Celeste faces hardship, using her wealth and industry connections to help her avoid eviction and even assists in assembling the band. Eliza’s scar on her neck, often hidden by a choker or turtleneck, hints at a past accident, adding depth to her otherwise bubbly demeanor. Despite her success and positive energy, she carries the same family grief from their father’s death, though she expresses it differently from Celeste. After helping her sister, she returns to Louisiana, maintaining the connection even from afar.

Marcus, at 32 years old, is the toxic and manipulative antagonist in Celeste’s life. With his light brown hair combed back and piercing blue eyes, his appearance reflects the carefully controlled image he projects to the world. He exudes an intimidating and menacing presence, using his deep voice to condescend and manipulate those around him, especially Celeste. Marcus initially entered her life during one of her performances at a dive bar, where he preyed on her innocence and vulnerability, love-bombing her with affection to gain control. Under the guise of support, Marcus pushed Celeste into a modeling career, steering her away from her true passion for music. While he made her believe she was thriving, he subtly eroded her confidence, making her feel dependent on him for validation and success. As their relationship progressed, his facade of care slipped, revealing a toxic, selfish side that used manipulation to keep her in line. He disregarded her boundaries, consistently pushing her beyond her comfort zone, emotionally trapping her. In Season 2, Celeste finally finds the strength to break free from Marcus’s grip, marking a pivotal point in her personal journey. His controlling and manipulative influence, however, leaves lasting scars, making his eventual departure from her life a complicated emotional process. Marcus remains a shadow over Celeste’s life until she fully regains her independence and strength.
