Project Overview
Carpe Noctum is a podcast in which a young adventurer, Avery, falls through a portal into their homeland, and attempts to reunite two warring civilizations.
Avery is a half-breed; they don't quite belong with us, or with them. And that's a problem. The creatures of the other world are hostile, and disapprove of contact between our civilizations. With the grand ruler of their world bloodthirsty and ravaging, Avery is forced to jump between the threads of our worlds to keep the peace, and stop the ongoing war that could cost the lives of everyone. But time is ticking, and running out ever so quickly...
If you're seeking a paid job, please look elsewhere. This is purely for entertainment and fun. However, anything that I post will have names credited in both the videos, and the descriptions, with links to your social media/Patreon/website! Thanks for understanding!

Avery is a non-binary half-breed who has found themselves in the home of a biology professor. They were born in a world not unlike ours, but filled with demons and monsters. The ruler of the other world has sent his entire army to search for them, desperate not to spread any kind of influence to our world. Avery is a free spirit, whose whims often change in a matter of minutes. When they have something to say, you'd damn better believe they're going to say it. Avery has a voice that could be associated with either a female or male voice actor.

Oh boy. This is gonna be one helluva day.
Cornelius is like a father to Avery, and makes sure that they have everything they need to feel comfortable in our world. Early in his career, he began researching the anatomy of butterflies and other such insects, hoping to come across some kind of revelation; no one knows what! He is a very reserved man, conservative with praise, but adores Avery. His voice is slightly watery and hoarse.
Now now, Avery. We shouldn't get ahead of ourselves.
From what I can see, there's been some kind of warp in reality! Then again, what would I know? I'm a biologist at heart. *Chuckle*
Language, Avery!
The Grand Ruler of Archaesia is the highest position in the other world's government. They are the ones who direct the people in war and peace, who link their world with others, and decide which ones to destroy. The Ruler can be either male or female, and has a low, singsong-y voice.
No, no. That won't do at all. We need to... get the message across clearer. With bombs.

The narrator plays a huge role in describing the world around the characters in places the dialogue fails. The narrator is a kind of guide throughout the story, taking the hand of the reader, and showing them though the world in which they can imagine. Although the accent says 'NorthAmerican,' you can choose any accent you wish, or speak in whatever voice comes naturally. :)
