Blades of Furry (SKATE DINNER)
Project Overview
Hey ya'll! We're back again for another motion comic project dedicating to 'Blades of Furry' - a romance Webtoons comic that has been soaring in popularity this past year since it's debut in December 2020!
You can read it all for free here: 'Blades of Furry' on Webtoons
The first completed project can be watched here on the QUALITY FANDUBS channel!
Many have referred to it as the 'furry' Yuri on Ice, but as someone who has not seen the anime I thoroughly enjoyed the story so far because of it's amusing and expressive characters, an interesting concept blending ice-skating with martial arts, and the story dynamic of the two central protagonists as well as it's intricate supporting cast. It can at times, emotional, dramatic, wholesome, (and definitely) a lot of fun!
This time I'll be working with my VA team on dubbing two episodes to Deya and Emily's brilliant series (Episode 46: Skate Dinner and Episode 49: Crush).
It's been an excellent experience working with new voice actors on the previous project and I can't wait to meet you too! Based on voice actor's testimony, whom I've worked with in past projects, I'm very much personable, down-to-earth guy and passionate on getting the best out each recording session! So I wish you all much success on your auditions!
[Additional director's notes]
* Deadline is either a 'first come, best dressed' scenario or the time assigned to the project (i.e. 15th March 2022).
** I highly recommend you read the web comic! It'll give you an advantage in potentially getting the role!
All 50 episodes can read in a day based on friends whom I've recommended it to but I personally encourage you to tackle it in 4 sessions to really enjoy and savor the story.
*** For this project, I will be bypassing authentic pronunciations of the names of characters based on their local region. It is a personal choice and one that will make the linguistics not become an issue for the VA.
**** In addition, this project's version of vocal interpretation of the characters will fall under a 'Western animation' for an 'American TV' audience.

Hey ya'll! Many thanks for checking out this Casting Call project as well as to the folks who auditioned! It's been a quick one and I'm pleased to say that I've found the voice actors needed for the project. Wishing you all the best on your next initiative! Kind regards, Elson Wong
He is a pro battle skater and older brother to another talented battle skater, Brenda. An intellectual sportsman with a keen eye for detail, perhaps his most under-estimated skill in competition is his pre-match hyper analysis of his opponents. Sometimes it's not only the vigour, consistency & technique that will claim one's victory but also having advanced information to take seize the opponent's weakness during match.
Director notes:
* Emile (the main protagonist), his name is pronounced as 'EE' - 'MEAL'.

Emile Fia, 20 years old from Galia. Only child to a single mother, no family history of skating... Yet you managed to become GBSF Junior Champion on your first try. Impressive really.
If it was going to upset you so much, why did you keep asking?!
A jovial, upbeat and certainly optimistic underground battle skater from Valakia. She has talent and her energetic spirit is promising for her disciplined, aloof and stoic instructor, Vladislav Balaur.

YES!!! WE'RE GOING!!!
Dani, also an underground battle skater under the direction of instructor Vladislav Balaur. She is the opposite of Elena in terms of demeanor - realist, direct and honest to her friends. She is not easily intimidated either but will call out those who don't give others an opportunity to shine in the sport of battle skating, regardless of the politics and red-tape that exists within the industry.
Director notes:
* Elena is pronounced as 'EH-LEH' & 'NAH'.
** Eastern European accent desired where possible (countries range from Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, the Ukraine and the most western part of the Russian Federation)

He's gonna say no.
Well, here's your chance. Ask away. You're SUCH an ashole. You have NO INTENTION of taking her!
You know, if you're gonna practice your fancy jumps after hours anyway, you could at least show Elena. She wants to learn.
