Blade: Assault on Castle Blood | A Marvel Audio Drama
Project Overview
Years after escaping from Castle Blood, Eric Brooks AKA Blade returns home to England after hearing rumors that the Nazi vampire, and former capture to Brooks, Baron Blood has resurfaced after decades. Now Blade must gather a team, including his estranged mentor Jamal “Whistler” Afari, to storm the castle and put an end to one of the heads of the vampiric families.

Bobby Beast
A dhampir born in 1920s Soho, from his mother who was bite by a vampire during labor. Now he has all the strengths of the vampire but none of their weaknesses, making him the Daywalker. Found and raised by Jamal, Blade has been a vampire hunter for almost 40 years at this point and became famous amongst other hunters. Blade is cool headed and seems in control but has an underlying anger.
This is the lead role and will likely reappear in more projects.

Vampires…. To most of the world, they’re nothing but something in cheesy movies and kiddy comics. To a few, we know the truth about the blood-sucking monsters… and we’re out to put every single one of them back in the ground they crawled out from.
My mom was bitten by a vampire the night of my birth. The vampire left her for dead and was chased off by a hunter. That man found me. Took me in. Trained me. I trusted him.

A green American vampire hunter who has run into Blade and gotten caught up in the search for Baron Blood. King thinks he’s funnier than he actually is and tries to use humor to ease tension. Partly inspired by Ryan Reynold’s portrayal from Blade Trinity.
He will return in future projects.
Woah, buddy, no need to be pointing guns at people. Honest mistake, see, I’ve been tailing that little limey blood sucker since a pub quarter mile back and well, only good vampire is a dead vampire. You cornered him, so I took it.

An older vampire hunter and jazz musician who raised and trained Blade. However, something in the past has made a rift between the two. He’s a bit blunt and worn out from his age but won’t let that stop him from keeping up with the others on the team.

I grew up in Harlem. It was popular with vampires. Few black kids going missing didn’t matter much to the rest of the city. I found their nest, had to watch them feed on my friends while I hid until day break. I went to the cops, they thought I was crazy… no one believed me. So I trained myself what I could and killed those blood suckers. Kept going and ended up traveling, that’s how I met Eric.
Well, I’ll be damned…

Once an English lord that served under Dracula and became a vampire; he later aligned with Hydra during WW2. Baron Blood had previously held Blade hostage to use for his personal experiment. Now, in the 70s, he has returned and causes Blade to hunt for him. Thus, the main villain of the drama.
He carries himself with an air of superiority, due to his royal blood, and shows disgust for Blade particularly. Though once things begin to fall apart, so does he.
*Chuckles* my… how you’ve grown, boy.
So cute to see you struggle… Those chains are vibranium, the one of the strongest metals known to man or beast. The same material used in an old foe’s weapon. You won’t be leaving… not again.

A Greek man who has been kidnapped by Baron Blood to be used as a test subject. He services as the main point of connection with the other hostages being experimented on. Scared and weaken but still holding out hope to be saved.
These creatures use us like lab animals… blood is taken from and injected into us on a daily basis… from what I know, they just pick us out at random…

A mysterious figure that gives information to Blade’s team and seems to be pulling strings. Has an Eastern European accent and sounds older.
Can’t say too much but will become a major figure in future dramas.
You’ll think me mad… but, one night I wandered through the woods near there and I swore I saw a shadow crawling along the high tower right before dawn.
It began with the missing animals, I lost one of my coach’s horses even, then… then the children, the women, men. A few turned up, drained of blood and some missing limbs… those who could leave did, but some stayed, too stubborn, too poor or in hopes they could find their loved ones.
You may resume your little brawl after I’ve made my deliberation! Now…Falsworth… years ago I made you a servant and now you parade yourself as a vampiric sire to me to award you some stadus. Worse still, you made yourself this mockery by stealing my blood? And what have you done with these deceptions that I allowed? Locked yourself in a castle to try and discover the secret of the vampire…
