Project Background:
Alien Stage is a popular korean webseries that centers around a hit reality TV program among aliens, in which humans are forced to compete in a tournament of duets where the weaker performer faces lethal consequences. The art is gorgeous, the songs are catchy, and the music videos work to give viewers information about each performer's motivations, background and personality.
I'm looking to do an English cover of the third song in the series, BLACK SORROW which is a solo that features male vocals for the role of IVAN, and while I usually cast for duets, in this case I won't be do any singing myself, but I'll be translating the lyrics, and providing the final tuning and mixing. This will ultimately be posted on my youtube channel which has a small following of around ~2k and videos that sometimes hit 30-20k on a good day but mainly 5-6k when they are covers within popular fandoms. The previous ALIEN STAGE covers I've produced have reached around 10k. This is a very emotional power ballad, that I think overall will be a fun, short commitment and a way for you to get a nice mix of yourself!
Deadline:
Right now the deadline is set about a month from now April 16. With options for extensions.
Some requirements:
-I will need your vocals as .wav files in a clean environment with minimal static, fan noises, etc.
-I'm asking for at least a USB microphone quality or higher. So phone microphone auditions will probably not make the final selection.
-You do not have to be able to speak Korean, as this is an english cover of the song, I will be providing English translated lyrics.
-For the final project, it is likely I'll be asking for 1-2 takes of the full song, and a couple takes for harmonies. Don't worry if you think you don't have a good ear for picking out harmonies, as I can provide guide vocals as needed. Finally, after a rough cut, I usually come back asking for clean up fixes as well for smaller words/phrases.

Backgound/Personality
Ivan has jet-black hair with equally dark eyes. There is a small fang that pokes out of the corner of his mouth when he smiles. He is described as reserved and observant by nature, and while he may be naturally withdrawn, his gift for singing soars above his quiet demeanor.
Ivan struggled to make friends throughout childhood, although he formed a deep, attachment to Till, his love was unrequited, as Till already had feelings for Mizi. Ivan attempted to free himself and Till from ANAKT and escape together, though the attempt was unsuccessful as Till would not leave without Mizi.

This song is somewhat of a power ballad, and the song has a demanding range up to a A#4 or higher at times, and if you're able to add rasp/growl into notes that's bonus! [~2:55 of the video]
Ivan in the original has a mellow but rich vocal quality, and sings with a lot of emotion.

At minimum please either: sing the three sample lines or submit a demo you feel has a strong sample of how you would sing as Ivan
You can use the instrumental, sing by yourself, and/or do more as you please, it's up to your preferences!
