Deadline's coming up!
Hey everyone! Just figured I'd let you all know that the project is alive and well! If you'd like, please share this project with your friends if they're interested! The more auditions, the better! Thank you all!
The Riddler is one of Batman's most intellectual villains and the one who lays out his clues the most deliberately. The Riddler is always playing a game, there are always rules. But what happens when The Riddler kills someone in broad daylight for seemingly no reason? No game to play. No cypher to breakdown. Batman will reach his wit's end trying to figure out the Riddler's true motivation in this incredible thriller!
The Riddler is a Batman villain I have admired for a while but something about seeing him snap in this comic is just so interesting. I've wanted to do a darker more mature story for a while now and this just felt perfect!
REQUIREMENTS FOR PROJECT:
1. Be prepared to commit! This means be responsive and be punctual to deadlines.
2. I have no preference between XLR microphones or USB microphones, but I do have a preference towards good mic quality. Please have little to no background noise and reduce peaking and plosives as well.
3. Discord is a requirement as the lines will be distributed through it and communication will be done through a server.
GUIDELINES FOR AUDITIONS:
1. You may audition for as many characters as you want.
2. If a character has a specified reference voice, please try to replicate said voice. Additionally, if a character has a specified accent, you must do the accent for the audition. If neither is specified or its loosely described, you're free to go with your gut!
3. Please put your Discord tag in your audition description.
4. Just in case anyone asks, you are not required to slate.
5. Please no troll auditions.

It's Batman. You know who Batman and what he is supposed to sound like.
I find this Batman more in the Kevin Conroy range, but with a bit more anger in his tone.
(Bruce Wayne, sympathetic, saddened) "The Riddler was playing a game with Batman. Batman didn't understand the rules of this particular game, it seems. Your husband suffered the consequences for this neglect."
(Batman) "Mr. Tierney, despite the rumors in the press, I am NOT omnipotent. I have an unfortunate weakness for mercy that has often led to careless mistakes and lingering pain. However. The moment you fired that gun at me, I lost my taste for any...mercy."
Jim Gordon, the old commissioner of the GCPD who should probably be retired by now.
Jim is an old man, reaching his 70s at this point. His voice should be gruff, and tired.
"So is that a no on the girlfriend?"
"He's not going to be tied up or anything. I'm not throwing away another good cop on that. He's...you should...you should know. He's not the man he used to be."
Dana Tierney is Edward's abusive and demanding father. When he was younger, he was pompous and held high standards for Edward. When he became older, he became unkempt, unruly, and violent.
Mid range for young, mid to low range voice old. Please supply noticeable differences between aged voices
(Young) "Edward, stop. You're wasting time that you OBVIOUSLY need for your learning. Let's get this over with so you can get back to the library."
(Old) "My son was blessed with a gift. Blessed. And he wasted it on games. As such, he has ruined his life. And mine. Is that enough to earn a little mercy?"
Diane is simply a grieving civilian. Her husband's murder is the catalyst for this entire story and she spends a lot of time grieving.
Mid range, light in tone. She's a gentle woman but has her moment of sternness
"I...I don't think we've met. Have we? Did you know my husband? He never...said anything..."
"...And he's still doing nothing? What is going on? What fucking game is it?"
Professor Yellin is an earnest and honest teacher, wanting the best out of his students. He is kind, forward, has a love for riddles...and is Edward's first victim.
Mid Range voice, bit of a New Yorker accent possible
"Eddie, life isn't about acquiring knowledge. Any shmuck can take crap in and vomit it out, y'know?"
"My advice? Nothing's worth this stress. Take a break for a second. Clear your brilliant head. Get a bite to eat."
A concerned and cynical citizen of Gotham
Mid to Mid Low Range. Jersey Accent
Everyone fights here. What am I supposed to do? Call the cops? Half the bastards in here beating their wives are Gordon Boys."
He's so desperate for answers. I'll give him some fuckin' answers."
An honest man. Husband, father, and victim.
No specific range requested. Very generic man
"I REALLY think she wants to go. It's nerves, and if it's not, she doesn't have to. It'll work out."
"Thanks. Yeah, she's eleven now. That must have been...you know, that seemed IMPOSSIBLE."
A guard just trying to give Edward his food.
Mid to Mid Low Range, Must be prepared for a lot of pained screaming
""Hey, my daughter REALLY liked that last one about what has a bottom at the top."
*fingers are being crushed* "STOP! AAAAA!!! FUCK!!"
Small character, but he gets a page to himself!
He's a man in his 20s-30s, Typical NYC accent
"No one knows him like IK know him! I hence for him, for like, fucking decades!"
"Please. Please, just say yes, Say yes, okay? Yes? YES?"
A Priest speaking at the funeral of John Oates
Older man, but with honesty and calmness in his tone
"We pray now in the name of the father, the son, and the Holy Ghost."
"I commend you, my dear Johnathan Henry Oates, to Almighty God, and entrust you to your creator."
