Band Camp Boyfriend - Additional Characters
Project Overview
UPDATE 03/30/22
A minor update--I extended the casting call a day, not realizing that it was closing in a few hours! I mistakenly thought it would go until the end of March, but March 31 deadline actually means it closes as the clock hits midnight. So you have one more day to get your auditions in! Sorry about that.

For the last few years, the Blue Mountain Bandits High School Marching Band has suffered from inconsistent directorship. Students are dropping out, scores and morale are at an all-time low, and the school doesn’t give the music program the respect it deserves.
Determined to turn everything around, Cadence enters her junior year as the band’s drum major, alongside brand new band director and Blue Mountain alum, Mr. Victor Wiley. Whipping the band into competition shape is easier said than done, but Cadence and Wiley have the drive and optimism to see the task through. To focus solely on perfecting this year’s field show, the band leaves behind society to spend two weeks at Camp Bearpaw, a sports compound located amidst the woodsy Pennsylvania countryside. It’s the perfect place to kindle friendships, make memories, grow as a leader, and perhaps even find love in between rehearsals...
However, band camp isn’t going to be easy. All choices carry weight and unexplained happenings wait in the wings of the camp. Will Cadence lead her classmates to victory--or watch the entire band fall apart around her?

Welcome to Camp Bearpaw!
Band Camp Boyfriend is an otome (GxB) visual novel in which you find love while trying to survive band camp! It's rated T 13+ and is primarily a romantic drama/comedy with elements of mystery and psychological thriller. At this time, there is a free downloadable demo for the game on itch.io, which can be found here.
Our team is called Lovebird Game Studios. We are a sister duo who have combined our talents to make indie games. Since this is our first game and undertaking a video game is a huge process, Band Camp Boyfriend has been in the making for quite a few years. We established a talented team of voice actors a while back and could not be more thrilled to have them bringing life to our characters! They have also been very patient as we continue to chip away at the game over the years. I can finally say that the end is in sight and a 2023 release looks bright.
Recently, we decided to add a final route to the game (it was originally going to be DLC but we decided that didn't feel right). There are four characters who do not yet have voices, hence this final casting call. They are of the minor variety so they will not have a great deal of lines. Drum has under 10, Craft/Warden have 10-20, Leon has around 30.
Payment is $2/line
The game is partially voice-acted.

184 auditions later, we are closed for business! WOW! A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to audition. We really appreciate it and we were overwhelmed with talent! However, there can only be one. Congratulations to those who were cast! We are super excited to work with you. Thanks again and hope everyone has a great day!
A transfer student from Blue Mountain’s rival band, the Lowland Troopers. He looks tough, but is actually quite shy, hates confrontation, and gets flustered easily. He has a soft spot for animals and isn’t the best at making friends, but it’s no big deal–he’s pretty independent.
He has a soft southern twang–think light Virginia accent rather than heavy Texas drawl. His voice is a bit rough to match his appearance, but kindness can be found within.
*sigh* *gasp* *shy laugh* "Yup." "Yessir!" "Ain't a problem." "Much obliged."
"These woods remind me of the ones I had to rough it in for three days in Virginia. Makes me kinda paranoid. I was in this scout camp where they had this coming-of-age ceremony. They abandon you on the side of a mountain with nothing but a pocket knife and you have to find your way back to civilization. It's called The Trial."
"Stay close to me!" (a little panicked) "I wouldn't say that..." (shy)
A former band director of the Blue Mountain Bandits (2 years prior) and Mr. Wiley’s colleague/rival since high school. When they were young, they both vowed to become the band director at their old school one day, but of course only one person can take that position. She left at the end of her first year as HS director of her own accord and took a position at a rival school.
She is sharp and witty and carries herself in a dignified manner. The kind of teacher that can be strict, the good kind of strict that motivates you to do well, but she also has a soft side.
Her voice is dignified and rather strict most of the time, but can also exude warmth.
*chuckle* *sigh* "Hmm." "Victor Wiley." "I'm proud of you."
"Oh, there won't be, Victor. If I've said it once, I've said it a million times. May the best woman win."
"Sometimes, Victor, you've got to be a little selfish. You've got to put yourself first and treat yourself with care--something you could stand to do more of. We only get one life. We've got to make it the best that we can."
The mysterious and grumpy old man who owns Camp Bearpaw. He doesn’t seem too fond of kids.
A gruff, scoffing voice belonging to an older man. On the deeper side.
*angry grunt* "Hmph." *deep laugh* "Shut it!" "S'cuse me."
"That there's the Waving Bear. The idiot kids who come here taught him that where humans are, food is. Somehow they trained him to wave, too. So now he comes sniffing around here every day in hopes of being fed. Git now! GIT!"
"I'm washing my hands of this damn camp." "You would do all this for a MARCHING BAND?!"
One half of the obnoxious drummer duo. Drum is a dopey bully and is the slightly more mean-spirited of the two. He has a deep, drawling voice.
*comical screaming* *scoff*
"Haw haw!" (deep guffaw)
"This is stupid. Nobody cares!"
