This series is inspired by the Danganronpa series, which is a video-game series about 16 super talented or ‘Ultimate’ students being trapped inside a school (or some sort of area), and forced to kill each other by a sadistic bear named Monokuma.
Warning: This content has mature themes such as: Violence, Homicide, and Suicide. This is not recommended for ages below 13.
Disclaimer: The series will be produced in Gacha-Life. I am aware this is a children’s editing program, but it is the easiest platform for me to use in order to produce my story, and I ask you to bear with me.
Characters shown in order of appearance, not relevance. Keep in mind even minor characters have quite a lot of lines, just not the majority in the big scheme of things.
This story follows a group of 14 teenagers handpicked from across the country to be in the newest, most innovative, most competitive TV talent Show of the century. Each and every one of them is ecstatic, until finding out there isn’t a way to escape the building.
Well, there is one-
In order to escape, you have to win the talent show.
The viewers outside will determine the fates of these 14 people, and it’s a matter of intimidation, bravery, and raw talent. But, who is behind such a cruel game? And how will they be stopped?
RULES: If you have even the slightest if doubts about being able to send lines in on time, do NOT audition.
1. You must have a good quality microphone.
2. You must speak clearly, and show emotions in your lines.
3. You MUST be able to submit your lines on time.
4. You must have discord. In your audition description, please state your name, age, and discord with its tag.
5. You must be 14+
6. You must read every line for the character you audition for, and no more than 3 times per line.

You may audition for multiple characters.
Mina is the lead character, also known as the ‘Musician’ in the talent show. She’s extremely socially awkward, but an incredible detective, due to her skeptical nature and personal trust issues. As the protagonist of the story, her backstory is fairly normal, but it is mentioned in the series that her parents are rather ignorant, and that her 9 year old sister is practically all alone without her.
Voice Range: Medium Pitch.
(Trying to give herself a pep talk. Starts out strong, but motivation quickly depletes.)
“No, she’s strong, and so am I! I’ve got this! ...Like...99% got this...No-who am I kidding? I don’t ‘got this’ at all!”
(Confused and concerned after a fellow contestant makes a strange remark.)
“What...was that about..?”
(Setting somebody straight after they were being irrational and delusional.)
“This isn’t the right way to go about the situation. Trying to piece this all together with no concrete evidence is bound to screw you over!
Hanna is Mina’s little sister, and she only appears in the first and last episodes. She is very sweet, shy, and goofy.
Voice: The voice is up to you, because this character isn’t extremely relevant. Obviously, she must sound like a child.
(Sad, as her sister is going away for the entire summer.)
“D-do you have to go? I’m really going to miss you...”
(Alarmed and relieved to see her sister once again.)
“MINA!! Oh my gosh, it’s really you! I voted for you every single time, and I prayed every single night! You were so amazing up there!
Noelle is the ‘Pop Idol’ of the talent Show, and has the personality to match. She’s bubbly, sassy, goofy, and all around that best friend who’s there to cheer you up. She attended the same high school as Mina prior to the show, so she’s mighty relieved to know somebody. Not much is said about Noelle prior to the show, but she is terrified of graphic scenes and violence.
Voice: Medium-High to High pitched, with a bubbly tone.
(Excited, she just met one of her best friends unexpectedly.)
“Yes! I’m so relieved that I know somebody here! I’ll totally be rooting for you all the way!”
(Worried, as one of her fellow contestants seems overly anxious.)
“That poor thing...I hope she gets some confidence for the show!
(Upset and wary, as she feels betrayed by one of the contestants, and gradually becomes angrier after.)
“B-b-But! You said that you liked my hair! Isn’t that- casual conversation?”
(Said contestant then insults her.)
“W-well, sucks to suck, doesn’t it?”
Zane is the ‘Computer Programmer’ in the talent show. I’m high-school, he won state championships in robotics, and developed his own A.I. system by his junior year. He is very harsh, and has no intentions of making any friends. His only agenda is to win the talent show, and escape alive, regardless of how he has to do so. His icy demeanor and condescending attitude are developed and explained throughout the series.
Voice Pitch: Medium Pitch. He should sound intimidating and cold, but still youthful and not very raspy.
(Harsh, threatening. He wants to be left alone.)
“I said that, hoping it’d coax you to go away.”
(Talking to the announcer in the matter. He’s absolutely repulsed by their presence, as expected.)
“What’s there to say to somebody like you? Lowly, rotten scum.”
(Guarded, but beginning to show a bit of vulnerability.)
“Death...it isn’t something anyone should take lightly. It can leave permanent scars behind, and not just on the body of the deceased.”
August is the ‘Actress’ in the talent show. This is very deceiving and makes her extremely suspicious due to her shy and anxious nature. She always seems to be saying just a little less than the full truth, and hardly speaks when confronted. On stage, her entire persona changes, making her appear as though she’s keeping up a facade. Her personality is explained throughout the events of the story.
Voice: Medium-High to High pitched.
(Cautious, raw emotion, but trying to hold it back.)
“So you’ve started, huh? I just want to know...are they-safe?”
(Hurt, after being accused of wishing suffering upon others.)
“I...did not think this would happen. I would never hurt anybody!”
(Harsh, fed up of being belittled.)
“By those rules, you shouldn’t have judged me based off of the notion that I am an ‘actress.’”
Shelby is a Baker. She specializes in European style pastries and cakes, and loves adding decorations into her food. She’s super creative, sweet, and a bit insecure, but she’s always ready to help somebody out. She may seem a bit air$headed, but is actually extremely intelligent, and terrible at showing it.
Voice: Medium-High pitched. She should sound friendly and caring, but a bit unsure of herself/uneasy.
(Relieved and overjoyed after being told she looks wonderful the way she is.)
“That- makes me so happy! I think I’ll stay like this for a while.”
(Being interviewed, after witnessing a gruesome death. Shelby is weak and terrified of violence.)
“I-it’s my turn?? N-no, just skip me! ...I don’t...I don’t want people to see me cry!
(Uncomfortable, was just a bystander in a very heated argument.)
“uHhhH, who am I? Just an average bystander, don’t mind me! I’ll...just be on my way now...”
Elisa is the ‘Fashion Icon’ in the talent show. She’s been making her own designer outfits since the age of 11, and has no intent on keeping that knowledge to herself. Every chance she gets, she’s boasting about her talent and giving other people ‘advice.’ Although she may come off as stuck-up and selfish, her intentions are pure and she has a good head on her shoulders.
Voice: Elisa is very elegant and proper, and I’d like that to show in her voice. Preferably use a medium pitched voice, although slightly deeper also suffices..
(Boasting about her appearance, but proclaiming it’s just not satisfactory.)
“Well obviously, I woke up like this~! But- I still have to do my hair and makeup! Now, ba-Bye~ and good luck!)
(Trying to remain elegant after being ill and feeling nauseated.)
“I-have seen some unsettling things this evening...both from this show...and- m-my insides...”
(Trying to be encouraging, while still flustered and upset.)
“I am aware it is not that simple, but....I have spent the past three hours losing my guts! If I can suck it up, you better be able to as well! This goes for all of you!”
The Kokichi, The Nagito, the Byakuya, the little crap of the game, as there always is one. The one who seems to enjoy it, whether they actually do or not. As the “Photographer,” Mark is very observant and uses that to his advantage. Nobody can ever tell just how much he knows.
Voice Pitch: Mark should have a medium or medium-low pitched voice. He should sound curious, but also mischievous and suspicious, as if he’s keeping a harmful secret.
(Smirking, onto something but still alluring and mysterious.)
“This is quite a game you’ve got set up, very interesting indeed...Very well then. Challenge- accepted...”
(Referencing something, breaking the fourth wall. More illusion and deceit.)
“Yeah, you must be pretty cool. You could almost say we have...’Ultimate talent.”
(Almost mad, but trying to conceal his anger. Grunting, in pain and slow talking.)
“Well...you...have exceeded my expectations...but I do believe...we will overcome you...someday.”
Via is the “Chemist” of the talent show. She’s an easy adapter and always cares for others’ well being. The thought of a killing show such as this sickens her, and she wants to do whatever she can to persevere and take the culprit down.
Voice Pitch: Via should have a medium-low voice, as she’s very studious and mature, but she should still sound kind and approachable.
(Kind, motivational. Trying to honestly help her peers.)
“Nah, everybody has talent in one way or another. Either way, it won’t define you as a person. But you’re definitely not plain anyways!”
(Shocked out of her wits, praying she’s just imagining such horrid images.)
“I-I just wanted to use my talent to-t-to help people! I never asked for any of this!”
(Smiling and trying to be motivational while in agony and tears.)
“I believe in all of you...you, are so much stronger than I have ever been...I’m determined...this will succeed!”
Meg is an upbeat, peppy girl, and the announcer in the show. She acts almost as if she has split personalities, both a pleasurable and insane side to her. Her ditziness eliminates her from being the ‘mastermind,’ although she definitely knows more than she lets on. She’s much more relevant to the plot than she may appear at first, and her ‘insane’ side had its secrets
The characters below this role all appear AFTER episode 1.
Voice Pitch: She should be able to sound extremely high-pitched and peppy, while still sounding like an adult. Her lines are very extreme, whether it be over enthusiastic or malicious and ill-intended. For her ‘dark side,’ the VA should use a deep, mysterious voice.
(Peppy, high-pitched Voice. Introducing the television show.)
“Now, as you all know that this is a brand new TV show, I’d like to bring our lovely contestants out, and explain the rules~!”
(Has just finished announcing the gruesome rules of the talent show, her personality fluctuates rapidly.)
High pitched voice: “Now, I’ll let that sit with all of you...and interviews will commence after dinner! (Switches to deep voice, malicious.) Hopefully, you will understand now.”
(Sad, regretful, surrendering, hiding her fear.)
“What...happened to me..? I lost myself...and all of you with me...I-I guess I deserve...whatever fate comes for me...”
Woah, look out! It’s Carter, the ‘Archer’ in the talent show! His bold, spunky personality makes him ready for any new adventure that comes his way...
Or so he thought.
Carter is super friendly, but he’s also an ultra air-head. He’s not very helpful when trying to accomplish serious tasks, but he tries.
Voice: Medium-low pitched. Carter has a voice on the deeper end, due to his cool-headed personality.
(In an interview, after the first death. Trying to stay calm, but ultimately frightened.)
“A-a-at first I was like; ‘Woah, is this some weird kind of reality show?’ But-t-then I saw her body and-
Oh...man it was live! They couldn’t have faked it! I’m freaking out man!”
(Cheerful, introducing himself, recovered and trying to stay hopeful.)
“I guess I’ve never formally introduced myself...Well, I’m Carter! I’m into archery, and I’ll shoot an arrow through your heart~!
...Um...I was kidding, chill out man!”
Nicholas is the ‘Artist’ in the talent show. Whether it’s canvas art, digital art, or clay sculptures, he can create just about anything he puts his mind to. He’s really shy, easily frightened, and always on-edge about the slightest of things. He expresses his true self through his art, because he can’t convey it through his emotions.
Voice: Medium-high to High pitched. Almost every line he speaks, hesitance is in his voice..
(Uncomfortable, nervous because he was just yelled at by one of his fellow contestants.)
“Actually uh...my name is Nicholas..”
(Vulnerable, Trying to explain why it’s so important for him to escape.)
“My family...has been falling apart lately...My grandmother is on her death bed, and we can’t afford the hospital bills... I just thought coming here would give me the ability to earn the money to pay!”
(Slowly growing confidence, trying to be hopeful.)
“Y-yeah! We can totally do this! I-I mean...I’m going to try!”
Raphael is the ‘Magician’ in the show. He’s “mysterious,” dark, and brooding, but in reality he’s just a normal guy. Putting on an act and covering his feelings up with eyeliner is what he’s been best at for as long as he can remember. Always being the ‘weird one’ at school, he gave up and learned to embrace it.
Voice: Low-pitched. He basically sounds like Gundham Tanaka from Danganronpa. (He’s not a full rip-off, I promise. No hamsters leak near him...)
(Mysterious, ‘magical,’ but soon becomes hesitant and afraid.)
“Have no fear, my friends. That was simply a mere trick. She did not die...right..?”
(He is performing on stage, doing his best to perform magnificently. Loud, projecting, performing voice.)
“Now, I will disappear, and reappear with blue skin! You just watch, I, Raphael, will blow your MIND!”
(Angry, powerful and refuting defeat.)
“No, I will not stand down! A meager human like you- no, a monster-! I will NOT BE DEFEATED!”
The meme character- also known as the 'Dancer' in the show. He's really upbeat and quirky, and always makes the worst jokes at the most inappropriate times, so he'll probably be a "fan favorite." He's the type of guy who will throw you under the bus, even when something is so blatantly obviously his fault, and then ask; "No hard feelings, right?"
Voice: Medium-high. Not so high-pitched that he sounds like a little kid, but not a deep voice either, because he does have a 'childish' style.
(Being interview after the first death. Terrified, trying to save himself.)
“That-that- it...won’t happen to me too, right? J-just- take psycho magician guy instead! Just, not me- o-okay?!”
(Trying to cheer up a fellow contestant.)
“Hey, it’s Okay! Our situation totally sucks, but it’s totally alright! We’ll all work through this, and kick this production teams a-
Ahem...butt! That’s totally what I meant to say, ehe...”
(Defensive, Trying to protect his friends.)
“H-Hey! Don’t mess with me! I won’t let you take me down! I-I- I believe in my friends!”
Mei is the 'DJ' in the show. She normally creates EDM tracks, but has a love for traditional rock and roll. She has quite the temper, but she's kind-hearted, and overprotective of her friends.
Voice:Medium- Low to Low voice. Mei is the 'bada**' if you will, so I don't want her sounding 'cute' or bubbly.
(Horrified, disgusted, and absolutely furious.)
“This is absolutely horrible! What kind of sick person finds THIS entertaining?!”
(Cold, distant and lost in thought.)
“Why would someone do this? Are they...mentally ill? Abused? I just...don’t understand...
(Irritated, after somebody started complaining endlessly.)
“Look, stop whining ans start working. We don’t have time to focus on such trivial things.”
Spencer is the 'Swordsman' in the show. He's an intense fighter, and has experienced more than he'd care to admit. He's serious, quiet, and only ever talks when it's absolutely necessary. For a teenager, he acts as though he's well beyond his years.
Voice:Medium- Low to Low voice. He's brooding and hard to read, and I want that to show in his voice. He speaks from the heart, but never before thinking.
(Threatening, interrogating a suspicious contestant.)
“You’ve known this was the plan all along, haven’t you? What was your talent again...? You were an-actress, correct? I must say, you’re doing a pretty bad job of playing innocent right now.”
(Calm, Angry, and concentrated.)
“Why is everybody acting like they’ve never seen a dead body? Suck it up, life’s unfair.”
This role is VERY important. The series is still in production, and I never know when I'll need an extra to chip in, or possibly even a side character. I have some roles that I plan on having appear for a bit, but they aren't fully developed, so audition for them here!
