INTRODUCTION
Hello there! This is a casting call for an audio fiction podcast I've been working on called Audio of the Arcane. This series will be an anthology series listening to the tape recordings of those who dare to explore the magical aspects that hide in real life. This first season is titled "Breanna's Haven." The plan is to have 38 main episodes (about 20-30 minutes each) with the possibility of mini/bonus episodes, depending on how the podcast goes.
The first two teasers are currently out and available wherever you listen to podcasts (hopefully), and I have the core cast, well, cast, but there will always been characters that make appearances in Breanna's Haven. Every character I cast here is a recurring character in some regard and will return for episodes in the future, so no one and done characters (at least in casting calls..."extra" characters are a different thing, but no need to worry about that).
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
This first season follows Tamsin and Lena, two best friends (practically sisters) who are travelling to the aforementioned Breanna's Haven (pronounced Bree-on-na). Why? Well, Tamsin has received a postcard from Breanna's Haven that reads as follows:
If you wish to know where you came from, arrive at Breanna’s Haven before August One
Tamsin, having no idea as to who her parents are or what her parents are, has decided to take a risk and go to Breanna's Haven, hoping to get the answers she desperately wants. With Lena tagging along, having her own questions, the two of them arrive at Breanna's Haven. But what happens when they get there? Guess you'll have to listen to find out!
The series is a fantasy/supernatural series, with Monsters (as you'll see in the roles), but with a bit of mystery too. Maybe some drama...maybe some comedy (I mean, I don't think I'm funny)...
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline is October 15th.
I'm looking for two voice actors in this casting call. I encourage anyone who is interested to apply, whether you have all the experience or are just beginning. This is my first dive into podcast writing, so I'm definitely a newbie.
This is a paid project. That being said, as I am not making money with this podcast, my rates may seem quite low, and I apologize for that. However, this being my personal project, I do want to be able to pay you those who are willing to work on it as much as I can muster. For voice actors, the rate is $1.00 USD per line of dialogue used in the podcast (the roles listed just have an amount...payment is not capped in any way and will always be a minimum of $20 USD).
WHAT TO EXPECT
I have a Discord server for this project, so it is imperative to have a Discord, as that is where everything related to the podcast is done.
Additionally, this project will be paid, which will be done through PayPal.

The Fairy Queen

The Fairy Queen is, as you may guess, one of the rulers of the Fairy Kingdom, one of the five factions vying for the control of the Nexus (you probably won't understand what that means...no worries). Unlike her flamboyant and bratty husband, the--you guessed it--Fairy King, the Fairy Queen is more put together, a little more serious (her lineage is royal of course), but also, she knows how to get down and party if you know what I mean. Deep down there's that fun side, but she doesn't express it too often (not unless there's some Fairy whiskey involved).

Suspicious? Ah yes, it does seem like quite a contrast to what I could only imagine Camilla Drake had you participate in. Now, what was her challenge? Some game of hide and seek?
The Fairy Kingdom was never one to step out of line. The fact that my parents attended the meeting was not about power, but more of a formality to establish that we too are a great power in this community.
The Fairy King

The Fairy King is, as you may guess, one of the rulers of the Fairy Kingdom, one of the five factions vying for the control of the Nexus (you probably won't understand what that means...no worries). Unlike his stoic and put together wife, the--you guessed it--Fairy Queen, the Fairy King has a bit of a flamboyant attitude and can sometimes come off as a bratty child. He married into the royal family so he was not brought up to have the the best of manners...but sometimes he tries to be polite. He also tends to (unintentionally) bore you with his stories...and worse...his puns...
[Bratty attitude] Oh come on now, what did we tell you about the formal introductions and all the fanfare? Just...buzz off will you?
Now that we have all the introduction out of the way, what say you all to some tea? [To FAIRY QUEEN] Have a seat, my dear.
[Telling story] ...and then I said, "by golly, you know he’s a Satyr, right? Since when have their desires ever been sated." [LAUGHS]
