Project Overview
ANTON & COOLPECKER
AN INDIE 3D PLATFORMER

STORY
------------------------
Anton the anteater and Coolpecker the woodpecker are two friends living under the same roof. Their house stands on an island near a prosperous and peaceful town, but the peace ceases the day the Ant Queen, tired of the small size of her kingdom, decides she wants to expand. Her mechanics build a drill with enough power to dig tunnels throughout the entire island, but it needs enormous power to achieve this. So the Ant Queen hires ruthless bounty hunters to search for power sources across the island.
Soon after, as our duo is enjoying a breakfast picnic near the forest, a few of the Queen’s minions come bouldering through in the drill on a test run and end up destroying their picnic! After giving chase and giving them a good whoopin’, Anton and Coolpecker discover the Ant Queen’s dastardly plot and bring the now broken drill back to town. When the Ant Queen finds out about this, she tells her scientists to begin work on the Ant-Morpher, a machine that turns ants into hulking super-warriors! Our duo need to find the power sources to power the drill so they can get to the Queen’s Hive and stop her before it’s too late!
GAMEPLAY

The game is a 3D platformer, a “love letter” to old titles from the ‘90s, such as the Banjo-Kazooie, Spyro, and Crash Bandicoot series. The player controls Anton and Coolpecker as they jump, glide, dig, swing, and spin their way around the Charmlit Isles.
Anton is the brawn of the duo, with powerful claw and tongue attacks that let him eat ants for breakfast. Coolpecker is speedy and agile, with jumps and glides that get him into all kinds of trouble. Switch between the two to find all the power sources and stop the Ant Queen!
The majority of the gameplay is spent searching for D.O.O.D.a.D.s (Dedicated Operating Objects for Doors and Devices) - pieces of the Ants’ drill that have scattered around the island. By collecting enough DOODaDs from various levels, they can open Boss Doors to fight the powerful enemies within and acquire power sources. These power sources allow Anton & Coolpecker to power the drill and reach new levels (where, in turn, they must find new DOODaDs.).
The search for DOODaDs will demand much from Anton, Coolpecker, and the player. They must jump with skill across deep precipices; they must fight the Ant Queen’s minions with prowess. They must have the curiosity to explore each level, leaving no stone unturned; they must have the determination to face every challenge, no matter how dangerous.

Mobius Trip, the developers behind this game, have hired me to direct the actors cast for the roles in Anton & Coolpecker.
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE IN THIS?

I am looking for various actors who are willing to bring the cast of this video game to life. The cast is wide and varied and will need a strong cast of voice actors to deliver the lines.
I am not super picky about microphone quality but would prefer if the mic is around the range of a Blue Yeti.
PURPOSE OF THIS CASTING CALL
----------------------------
This casting call is primarily for finding the voices for two main characters, Anton & Coolpecker. This is also for video which will be posted on various sites to recruit more people to work on the project.
INSTRUCTIONS
---------------------
If you are cast for a role, you will receive a script through CCC DMs or email with recording instructions, deadline, accent specifications, character bios, and line directions. If you want to discuss alternate communication methods, that can be arranged.
I expect lines to be sent back for all characters following the correct organization.
For auditioning, It would be best if you were recording through audio recording software like Audacity or Adobe Audition. You should export and submit your audition as a .MP3 or .WAV audio file with the settings of 44.1 kHz, 16 bits, and mono recording format.
I will open more roles over time. If you are not cast for a role, don't be discouraged from auditioning for another, as more roles will be posted over time. If you're already cast for a role and want to audition for another one - you can do so.

Payments will either be sent after you've sent in your lines. I would strongly prefer using Paypal as a means of transaction, but if otherwise, we can discuss alternative methods of payment. -
What is the eligible age for auditioning?

You *have* to be 18 or older to be eligible for being cast for a role. If you're below that age, you're not eligible. -
Deadline for Auditioning?

November 4th. However, there is always the possibility for the deadline to be pushed. -
