Anime short film
Project Overview
I'm working on an anime style short film for my thesis year as an animation student. I have not yet started the proper animation. I want the voice to be done before the animation since I want to give freedom to the voice actor and animate according to their dialogue instead of having them try to lip sync to the animation. There aren't many lines in the dialogue, it's basically just one paragraph but I need the dialogue to portray the emotional breakdown properly.

My character is a 16 year old girl who lives a hikikomori lifestyle with her mother. She has severe abandonment issues that are triggered by her mother trying to get her to go out of the house. She has a big dramatic mental breakdown where she begs her reflection to help her. Her voice progressively sounds more panicked and unhinged as she goes from breathy talking to screaming.

(panicking) How...how could she leave me in this desolate place?
(shouting in despair) I....I...I summon you...I SUMMON YOU...I summon your essence from the depths of my shattered soul. I manifest you into existence!
