Project Overview:
"TURBONERD" is a satirical, high-energy single released on June 1st, 2024, by Shamama, now streaming on all major platforms. The song tells the exaggerated tale of Terance, the quintessential nerd, who passionately raps about his geeky obsessions—from downing soda to dominating in League of Legends.
Style Inspiration: The animation style will be inspired by Adult Swim’s bold, vibrant, and irreverent aesthetic. Expect exaggerated character designs, dynamic visuals, and a visual style that matches the absurdity and humor of the song’s narrative.
Roles Available:
2D Animators: Seeking creative 2D animators with a knack for humor. Proficiency in Adobe Animate (or similar software) is required. Your mission: Bring Terance’s geeky world to life with expressive, fluid animations that capture the song’s energy.
Storyboard Artists: (CLOSED)
Background Artists: In search of background artists who can craft the vibrant, eclectic settings that embody the Adult Swim aesthetic. If you have a flair for creating detailed, immersive environments that pop with personality, we want you!
Sound Designers: Seeking sound designers to enhance the auditory experience of the animation. Your role will involve creating sound effects that amplify the humor and dynamism of the video.
Requirements:
A strong portfolio showcasing your work in 2D animation, storyboarding, background design, or sound design.
Familiarity with Adult Swim’s visual style and sensibilities is a plus.
Patience (there is no set deadline).
A willingness to collaborate on a project with potential future opportunities.
Note: While this project does not offer compensation at this time, it holds the potential for future paid work. Should the music video achieve success, a Patreon will be launched, with successful collaborators given priority for paid opportunities.

You will be animating the music video based on the storyboards created by the Storyboard artist, no experience needed, however attaching something you have worked on is preferred. I'll get into more details as we continue the process.

You will be creating the storyboard art for the early stages of the AMV's development, you will be provided with a video reference that contains lyrics as well as some things to consider when drafting the storyboards. The video is only expected to be about 3 minutes long, so shouldn't be too crazy.. I will also provide the character designs for the characters featured in the video!
