Project Overview
Amber Becerra, a 15-year-old bassist with an emo style that sets her apart, is determined to prove she's more than just another teenage girl. Feeling like an outcast in a world that doesn’t quite understand her, Amber channels her frustration and passion into her music. She forms “BlackBërry Creep," a Pop Punk garage band, with her boyfriend Tanner and her best friends, Milo and Nathaniel. Together, they navigate the highs and lows of being in a band—writing songs, playing gigs, and standing up against anyone who doubts them. Amber soon discovers that being different isn’t something to hide but to celebrate, as she learns to embrace herself on and off the stage.

(Thinking.) “We’ve got, what, three solid originals? Maybe four if we polish up Falling Out of Static? Plus, we can throw in a cover or two if we have to. That should be enough for an audition.”
(Mad, raising her voice.) “Yeah, what now, dad? Same shit every day that you've been complaining about for over a year? Just because you're tired of work doesn't mean you shouldn't eat. Mom worked hard to cook for all of us.”
Tanner is Amber's boyfriend. He's 16.

The rest of the hair falls loosely down the back, giving him a laid-back look. He has 2 black dyed streaks on one of his bangs. He likes the same bands as Amber, except he liked Radiohead, My Chemical Romance, and The Bloodhound Gang more.

(Prideful.) “It’s a local spot, this small venue downtown—The Star Lounge. They’re looking for new bands to open for some bigger acts next month. I told them we’re interested, and they said we can audition this Friday night.”
“I think we’ll kill it. We’ve been practicing like crazy, and honestly, we sound better than half the stuff on the radio right now. It's mostly k-pop and electronica…”
