Adventure Time Voice Over (Fionna and Cake)
Project Overview
This project is centered around the gender-bent version of Adventure Time (Fionna and Cake). The episode basically entails Marceline telling the Princesses a story about Fionna and Cake since they are tired of the Ice King's versions. We are currently planning on revoicing one episode. You may audition for multiple characters, but I ask that your mic quality is of a professional level. Clear audio is key. Please listen to the voices of the characters you audition for before submitting your lines. Some characters involve singing, so keep that in mind when auditioning as well.
I am co-directing with a friend of mine. We will set up a Discord server once we have finished casting, so please have a Discord account. Even though I would prefer if you could sound like the character, I am also interested in how you can interpret as an actor. Feel free to read the lines as you see fit once or twice, but give me your best impersonations. If there is not a description of a character, that means I have no preference for how you voice that character. If you would like a description, the Adventure Time Wiki has full descriptions of each character. If you have any further questions please feel free to message me privately.
Have fun with the characters! Especially the smaller roles (like the Princesses) who have funny and short lines! Make up some filler lines or add lines if the character you audition for does not have many audition lines! The funnier and better fitting lines are, the better chance you have of being cast! Marshall Lee is the gender-swapped version of Marceline. Marshall Lee presumably has the same abilities as Marceline, as he was first seen floating. Some official artwork shows him eating the color red, just like Marceline, and sucks the pink from creme puff filling. Marshall Lee needs to have a more edgy, laidback tone of voice. I would prefer for him to sound like the character in the show, but I am very open to variations with this character considering his personality. I think playing around with interpretations of his voice could be interesting, so feel free to change it up. Marshall does sing in this episode, so I marked him as a singer. However, if your voice fits the part very well we can work out a more "talk-sing" style.

Fionna is an in-universe fictional character and the gender-swapped version of Finn who was created by the Ice King in his fan-fiction. Fionna has many of the same characteristics as Finn. In this episode, Fionna goes with Marshall Lee to a party in the woods. Make sure the character sounds young and tough but still feminine. Fionna does sing in this episode, so please only audition if you are capable of singing in her range.
Look, I don't care if you're being a jerk to me, but nobody messes with Cake.
I get that you flirt with me all the time, and it's funny and whatever, but you're doing that now?! What are you trying to do to my head?! You think I've got some little crush on you?!

Cake the cat is the gender- (and species-) swapped version of Jake the dog in the Ice King's self-written fan-fictions. Cake is sassy and loud, and she should have a comforting and commanding tone. Cake also sings in this episode, so be prepared to do some singing lines.
"Good job, girl! Have some spaghetti!"
"What about Gumball's mission we went on this morning? Delivering daisy chains to the fluffy people not enough for you?"

In this episode, Ice King is almost innocent. His whole character should be played up and nice and proud of the story. I would still like the voice to have the roughness of the original voice actor, but I do not expect an identical sound. Just do your best.
(Fionna: "What's your name?") "Oh, Ice King. I'm such a great guy! This book is yours... "
[crying tears of joy] I'm just so glad you guys are real... you're really, really real! I wanna remember this day forever!
[shocked] Marceline, how long have you been in here?
Marceline is just the female version of Marshall. I still want the edgy, don't care attitude put in, but it needs to be more feminine. She is the Vampire Queen, and I want to hear the confidence in her voice.
"Boo."
"Mmm... couple hours."
"It's... good... but, maybe it's time to let someone else try. [She points to herself as Ice King seems unhappy and frustrated.] Listen up, y'all! I've got a story of my own!"
Honestly, give me Tamaki from Ouran and I will cast you. I want the most basic princely character voice. He is a high-class, cute, gumball boy.
"Oh my! Looks like you almost skronked up my dome piece!"
"It is wet..."
"Oh, honestly! I'm going in. Come and join me when you want more polite company."
Slime Princess has the most lines out of the Princesses, so I need her voice to be more distinct. Give her whatever kind of tone you think would fit whether it be loud or very soft. Even an accent would work fine. Feel free to improvise and add any lines you think would fit the character.
"Ice King, stop, please. This story is terrible!"
Lumpy Space Princess with a moustache. Give me your best impersonation.
"You guys! Marshall Lee's gonna play a song, you guys!"
"Oh my glob!"
I would like for this character to be played by a higher-voiced person. I do not have a gender preference for the character, but I would like for them to have a higher tone of voice.
"Maybe this story is a new form of torture!"
*Pain-filled whimper*
Improvise and give me your best impersonation. This character can have a more masculine voice (not deep. but not as feminine). Play them however you see fit and be sure to add some improv lines so we can gauge your acting abilities. The person cast for this role might also receive other smaller roles as well if the improv fits the feel of the show well.
"...I don't even understand..."
Doctor Prince is the "villain" in the Ice King's story, so I would like either a comedic voice or a deeper masculine voice.
"Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!"
"Ha! Too bad I'm a really strong guy and I took my doctor pills this morning! Lasers don't hurt me!"
"..You're right. I see your side of things."
It is basically penguin noises, but you can look up the actual sounds that he makes.

Beatboxing would be much appreciated for the skeleton role. These roles will likely be double cast with the Princesses depending on the auditions.
