Welcome to the official casting call for the second 9Mermaids & Friends Community Cover! For this project we're looking for 9 Tenor vocalists to represent the PDP girls and join me in a tenor cover of 'Just Believe'. Please read all the instructions before auditioning.
To match the tenor range, we will be singing the song in a different key. (-7 semitones) An original instrumental will be created for this cover by Kayo, who will join us in the cast. He will join the official auditions and be cast as one of the members based on the blend tests.
Please note that this casting call is for a single cover! We're currently not looking to add new members to our core cast, but we would love to introduce new talent onto our channel. If you're interested, please consider auditioning~
Instructions
When recording your audition, please refer to our audition guide to make sure you are singing correctly. This is important, because we will use your auditions as a blend-test. Note that we are using an original instrumental, and we will be singing in the key of C Major. If you don't match the timing and key of the guide provided, your audition will not be considered!
Please note that we are looking exclusively for Tenors, due to the range of the song and the shifted key we will be singing our version in.The highest note in our version of the song will be a G4 in chest voice, and A4 in headvoice/falsetto. The lowest note in our version of the song will be a C#3. For the sake of the blend, singing an octave above or below the melody is not allowed. But fear not! There will be future community covers where we'll open up to all ranges and voice types. If you're worried or unsure if you'll be able to hit the required notes, just try singing through the audition lines. They're all in there!
When auditioning, please keep the following things in mind*
* If you don't meet the listed requirements, you will not be considered.
We will not be casting before the deadline, so don't rush your audition. We will take anywhere up to 4 weeks after the auditions to do blend tests. Once casting is complete, we will reach out to the chosen singers on CCC. When all singers have been contacted, we will notify you through our twitter and in our discord server, so you'll know when to check your inbox!
NOTE: this cover will use original characters to represent the vocalists. Every singer must have (or make) an OC to represent themselves, with a visual reference for the artist to use. If you don't already have art of your OC, or you don't have a character yet, you can use an anime/fantasy avatar maker to create one! Please leave a comment on your audition with your discord (ex: Sky~*#3692) and a link to your OC reference! (this can be a single image, or an art ref)
