In the 2019-2020 Marley Awards, Mikayla was nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Characterization for her role as Frau Blucher and won the Best Ensemble Vocal for Young Frankenstein, directed by Seth Tucker.

For acting and singing, she has trained under Seth Tucker, Michael Kary, Donna Vivino, Alan Palmer, Tracie Jones, and Juson Williams. She has also been through a script analysis workshop by Lindsay Northern and Joanna Glushak, a playwriting workshop by Kit Goldstein Grant, and a voice acting class by Aspen Vincent.

Mikayla is a mezzo belter and soprano singer with a vocal range of Eb3-E6.

More recently, Mikayla is a published author and has become a freelance copy editor while pursuing a degree in creative writing and English at Southern New Hampshire University.
