About Maiyatsumi

Hiya! Here the main summaries of each of the things I do here on CCC (and other linked media):

Voice Acting :

My first voice acting work was back in around 2008 when I tried to direct a full fandub of the game "Tales of Symphonia" by Namco. Most of the main roles were filled but due to lack of responses and communication the project was eventually dropped and cancelled. In 2009 on I was accepted to play in Fandubs but none really took off either.

I got onto Casting Call Club in May of 2017 but basically took a year to see how it worked and built up some courage to do voice work again. At that point in my life I finished my BASc so I had vacation with family and looked for jobs in my hometown. Between 2013 and 2016 I worked on personal projects along with friends. I worked on voice mods for KRMMOs using our own voices, as well as made a System Voice clips for someone's original character for the game BlazBlue.

I only voice act in English, but can dabble in Japanese.

Singing :
Originally from the Philippines, I've sang for as long as I can remember. When I was around 4-6 I wanted to be a singer but never amounted to anything because I was too shy. When I was 7 I moved to Canada and in October 2001 or so I joined the choir from our local parish. I've been singing in many choirs since then; anywhere from elementary school, churches, high school, and other groups.

I've been paid for my singing at regular intervals before and have sung at small town competitions and at a couple of funerals. Due to moving to university, paid time and event time were diminished. Since graduating university and getting a job I don't go to choir quite so often, but I always enjoy singing at home and recording little demos.

For languages I tend to sing more professionally in English, but I'm also comfortable singing in Japanese, French, and sometimes Spanish. English is my first language but I have been singing in Japanese since I was 8, and as a Canadian citizen I have sang a few songs in French. Our choir books at church have a few Spanish songs, and I'm half Spanish as well so that language isn't super foreign to me.

Visual Arts :

My work generally requires a lot of technical work, so getting home to exercise from creativity in both singing and visual art feels fantastic! I started drawing since I was 8 and I can generally imitate a variety of styles.

Since starting my job I've saved up and gotten a Wacom Intuos Pro tablet which significantly decreased my time required to draw/scan/edit art. I specialize more on concepts and design more so than detailed, well shaded, and colourful pieces, but I am practicing on improving on those areas as well. I can do these either with traditional materials (pencil, pen, paper, pencil crayon, and marker), or digitally.

Sometime around the time I was a sophomore in high school I dabbled in making sprites. Most of my early digital art was comprised of scanning traditional art then outlining, cleaning, and colouring them in the traditional MS Paint software. The process took hours but gave me a lot of practice in using the software and finding creative ways to do what I wanted with the medium. This is how I learned how to create character sprites. I can do anything from NES era sprites to sprites about as detailed from Blazblue (general Arc System Work) and other arcade fighter games.

PS. my current avatar was done by my boyfriend. Ain't he a talented guy?

Maiya is a really professional person and easy to work with! She's helped with me on multiple projects even recording and sending in lines in only a few hours. She's also really friendly and charismatic. We've been working with each other for a good while now and I hope we will keep doing so for a long time!!

Maiya is very nice and easy to work with, I have been on many projects with her and she always gets her lines in pretty quickly. She always puts a lot of work into them despite that though, her lines will never be half-hearted.

Maiya is also really easy to talk to regarding projects and deadlines. She always does her best to help with planning things and keeping everything in order.

She's also very dedicated and willing to inform herself well before she auditions/partakes for/in anything. She also stays professional in projects and is willing to give her opinion on things. I've shared projects and lead projects with her for a few months now and I hope we can continue to do so for a long time!

Maiya is one of the funniest people I've met here on CCC. She's nice, hardworking, and fun to chat with as well. She really knows how to have a good time. I have the absolute pleasure to work with her on one of my projects.

Ms. Tsumi currently voices Yuzuriha Sougetsu on my Under Night In-Birth fandub. She always puts her best foot forward and complete her tasks in a professional matter. But also having a good time doing so.

I'm looking forward to working with Maiya on many more projects in the near future. And I recommend y'all check her out too because she's really good!

I can say that this girl, Maiya, is one of the most pumped up cast members that I ever had the pleasure of working with. When I asked her if she's ready to get started on something, without any doubt or hesitation, she's eager to get things rolling.

She's well-known on mine and my twin brother's projects as the voice of Yuzuriha Sougetsu from "Under Night In-Birth." She started the role on my brother's project, and reprise the role on my "BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle" fandub. Everything she learned from my brother's project, she has adapted to my own. She's cool, spunky, and passionate when she voices Yuzuriha.

Maiya's quite a unique girl, and I highly recommend you guys listen to this girl, and see what amazing skills she has. Maiya, I'm glad we've met because there's still much more work to be done.
