LTCreatives
I’ve always been - much to my mother’s dismay - a “dramatic” one. Emotional. Vocal. Imaginative. Creative. Dynamic. Expressive. There was, at all times, an adventure, scenario, or a story being acted out. It should come as no surprise, I became a theatre educator, actor, and professional storyteller. And those three paths led me here… to Voice Over.
As a teacher, I have a full understanding of how to utilize words, pacing, emphasis, and vocal variety to communicate information in a clear, concise and engaging manner.
As an actor, I understand how to evoke a range of feelings—joy, trust, sorrow, comfort, inspiration, anger, or fear—through my voice alone.
As a storyteller, I understand how to vocalize narratives so they resonate with audiences by creating an emotional connection and establishing a sense of trust.
My voice is like the nice neighbor lady that always smiles and waves when she says “hello” at the mailbox. It’s friendly, personable, confident, human, engaging, bright, authentic, trustworthy, and more than a little quirky.
My voice is like a magician pulling you in with the unexpected. It is entertaining, changeable, versatile, and surprising.
My voice is what is needed at the moment. It is fresh, prepared, and don’t forget, dramatic.
