I'm by no means a professional writer. This is my first time writing an visual novel. The grammar from the script could have some mistakes, even though it was proofread by a native speaker and I, whose native language is not english. Infectious Doctor is my first visual novel project and it was created for the 2024 Yanjam event, a game jam that takes place on itch.io every year, where the main rule is that your video game must contain at least one yandere character. The visual novel became fairly popular as it reached over 3.100 downloads on itch.io. Now I want to expand it to the japanese public by having it translated to japanese and uploading it to a japanese video game hosting site. The visual novel is free to play and will continue to be that way. The script of Infectious Doctor contains exactly 16.974 words. The genre is horror and contains yandere behavior and gore so you would probably have to be comfortable with these subjects. The story is about a man-eating monster who pretends to be a benevolent infectious disease doctor in order to eat his patients after making them sick. The protagonist is one of his victims. The villain is based on Douma from Kimetsu no Yaiba. Since the villain is a mad doctor and the story takes place in a hospital, the script contains some medical terms related to infectious diseases. It doesn't matter if you are a japanese native speaker or not, as long as you can understand and write in formal and informal japanese and translate english text to japanese. I only know a tiny little bit about the language. There is no deadline. Unfortunately, my budget is very low because I come from a country where the US dollar is extremely expensive. For context, 1 US dollar equals 5 reais where I live, so I can't pay more than 45 US dollars. Payment will be done by PayPal only.
