@jameseyladActing, writing, crafting, doing. Passionate about fan culture and independent productions. I am the most organised person you will ever meet.
I have never been satisfied with pursuing just one of the arts.
My first love is writing, with character analysis being my speciality. I have experience in publishing poetry, prose, and scripts, and I routinely creatively write both original content and roleplay scenes. Good dialogue is essential to me, as is character motivation, plot focus, and fully-realised settings. In terms of concepts and aesthetics, I am highly intrigued by the various uses of anthropomorphism and metaphor. My writing style is like if Bram Stoker spent a little bit too much time on tumblr.
I first attended school for video editing and cinematography, and both have remained interests of mine since switching career paths. I have consistently engaged in video-related projects both professionally and while at university; I was an in-house videographer and freelance recruiter for a charity for over a year, and I have since been responsible for creating video content on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. I am proficient in a variety of video editing software; I tend to use Capcut for small projects and Premier/FinalCut for larger productions.
Voice acting and narration have been hobbies of mine since childhood. I've lent my voice to some projects for school and friends, and have acted in several fan productions. I have studied a number of accents, predominantly European and American, and can do several recogniseable character impressions ranging from the benign (Kermit) to the turbulent (Smeagol). I'm interested in exploring the wider talent community and participating in some new and exciting projects!
I have been a digital artist since 2015, and a traditional artist for much longer. I mostly draw fanart, and previously sold originally designed fan merch on Etsy. I also have experience in comic creation and printing, and have done commissioned work in the past. I tend to focus on character design, expressions, dialogue, and fashion, but I do love a good collage as well.
And lastly, I come from a family of musicians, so music has always been a central facet of my life. I have been vocally trained for musical theatre, a capella and choral arrangements, and have independently made several covers. I play piano and have experience using Logic and Audition, though I usually prefer Audacity for most voiceover work. I am able to clean, balance and compress my own audio.
I value communication, honesty, kindness, and inclusiveness, and above everything else, I know the importance of time management. If you decide work with me, please know I will commit myself fully to your project!
CURRENTLY SEEKING:
- Voiceover roles: Anime or cartoons, animated fanworks, original content, fanfiction narration, general voice acting
- Writing jobs: Character development or creation, prose, dialogue, scripting, cleanup, editing, grammar and beta
TBD
Currently, I'm open to pretty much anything! I would prefer opportunities for acting or writing, but if there is a need for video editing I'm open to those sorts of projects as well. I'm not particular about project scope or length, happy to do one-off, short term projects or long-term/recurring work. Basically, no rules--I'm fresh on the scene and eager to get started!
