About FrenchToast
Originally from Northern California I'm now living in the French countryside about an hour outside Paris. I've been working with sound installation, recording, and editing for more than 20 years. I've worked with a variety of DAW platforms as well as video editors and I can fiddle around on a number of instruments. Being located in France facilitates working with European clients during their working day or providing those last-minute overnight recordings for US based clients.
I have provided MC services to a number of events and voiced corporate product launches, characters in children's fables, and more. I work from my professional home studio which allows me the freedom to respond quickly to requests while maintaining the professional quality necessary for commercial voiceover.
I speak American English fluently and can speak French well enough to get along. I understand it just fine but struggle a little to speak in detail. When I do speak French I do so without an American accent thanks to being exposed to French from a very young age (my mother was French).
I can do French accents from the silly (think Monty Python) to more realistic central France. I can also handle speaking other languages if provided minimal guidance. Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Mexico), Italian, Irish, and German are all languages I've learned simple phrases and practiced pronunciation with. While I am not a fluent speaker, I can provide passable accents in the target language.
