About daisyJAM13

Hi!

I am one of the many artists, who hasn't made much art in a little while. However, as many know; even when I am not creating, I will always have the artist's eye with me in how I think, solve problems, and communicate myself. So while I do not use it so much for my own projects, I flex this muscle every day. I would love to get back out there and contribute to a variety of projects, because I know I have real skill, solid analytical thinking and unique perspective!

My interests in writing and drawing have long encouraged my interests in cartoons and anime, and they've passed each other back and forth like this quite a lot. They have evolved together and offered me many chances to flex my artist's muscle, from storytelling, character writing, and worldbuilding to critical analysis, concept-, and character design. Indeed, my strongest artist's muscle is my brain!

I've also always been good at funny voices. My grandmother was English, and though she never picked up the accent; somehow, my father and I definitely did. We've always gone back and forth doing impressions as long as I can remember. Animation on the whole has been a great source of inspiration in my life. So, I would be strongly interested in animated projects--whether original or fanmade, and for writing or character voice acting; I would love to give it a shot!

My personal wheelhouse lies in illustrated Character Design, though I am currently honing my craft in this through practice and my study of Graphic Design and Personal Styling at NYIAD. While I know myself talented, I am choosing to refine my skills before I offer my them to a wider audience. However, I am still happy to contribute them, as well as my work in any of the full Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite programs, for certain projects on a case-by-case basis.

UK Various Accents--Rough DEMO
UK Accentsanimation/characterLondon accentbritish accents

Hi! I think accents around the UK are ones I can pull most consistently and with the most variety, I personally pride myself on my pronunciation and natural speaking patterns when it comes to doing accents that aren't my own, but of course lean into cartoonishly exaggerated where appropriate. This all was a bit of a test run for myself. I think with a script and context I could work wonders. Hope you enjoy!

To the best of my current understanding and research, these are the dialects/accents I was going for, in order:
General British (Received Pronunciation) > Nasally General British/RP> Posh British > South London British > Bristol/West Country British (think Sam Gamgee)

(I can also do Irish as well but let's not lump them in with the Brits)

Had fun with that Bristol sound, I can make that more rounded West Country sound more exaggerated by taking it to Scotland, too!
Thanks, and hope you enjoy!

I joined Casting Club because I would love to get active again and work with something that utilizes my creative energy. I admire a lot of the work I see on here, and I would love to build up skill and experience in any way I can. And hey, I think I'm pretty good at it!
