Firstly, I am a 17 year-old female from the United States. 

I have been in choir - provided by the school -  ever since first grade.  My school provides a few concerts every school year, each one having to memorize at least 3 songs.  I've gone to multiple solo and ensemble contests and have been rewarded pins for my talent and hard work.  

I have also participated in theatre quite often.  My debut was The Sound of Music as a nun and another role as the new postulant.  This was a performance directed by my math teacher in 2016. I did another performance that school year in the spring, which was directed by my speech teacher: The Search for Cindy. I was not interested in getting a role, but I did help backstage crew and went to local regions for contest.  In the summer of 2017, I auditioned at my community theatre for the first time for Music Man, and I got a role as a background character and dancer (not to mention the several songs we memorized).  I also auditioned for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the community theatre that fall.  I had received the role of Mrs. Beauregard, the mother of Violet.  This performance was for the youth of the community. I took a break from acting but continued once more for another school performance of 2018: Lord of the Flies. Even though I am a female, my director - the math teacher - didn't want to seclude females out of it and even casted some females as the main roles. Again, I had received a background role with speaking lines as a supporter of Ralph.
