What’s the studio like?

Recording is done in a sound treated room that is quite literally in the depths of a basement. No windows like the true gamer I am. Big enough to move walk around in and maybe do a jig.

What’s the Audio Mixer like?

I utilize a GoXLR for all of my audio needs. I find that it often has a crisp & clean sound that a lot of people look for. I also find that a lot of its built-in effects, whilst it doesn’t have a ton, to be very powerful and high quality. I prefer to utilize my personalized EQ settings for my microphones but can also send RAW audio as well as EQ tuning to your liking.

What’s the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like?

I’m a big fan of open-source projects so I primarily utilize Audacity although I have a wide range of tools at my fingertips to transform my audio into the type of file you need.

What’s the best way to describe my voice?

Deep, clear, professional, soothing, attention-grabbing. There’s a lot of different ways you could describe my voice. My accent is an Inland North (Michigan/American) accent. It’s often sought after for its clear pronunciation of words across a broad spectrum of reading. Often looked at for commercials and narration, the Inland North accents is one of the easiest accents to understand by the majority of people who either speak English or are learning it.

I’ve been in the voiceover field for 5+ years with experience in radio, advertising, and live commentary. My capabilities range from a lower tone all the way to a falsetto tone. All audio recorded can either be sent raw or be sent with EQ adjustments made to better suit my voice with the microphone. Both the Shure SM7B & SM58 are automatically recorded with EQ adjustments but can be turned off at request. My specialties lie in the commercial industry however, I am always interested to branch out into more character work and animation. I am capable of bringing you your next ad read or transforming the quality of your YouTube video to match the competition. I have a 72 hour turnaround with normal costs but can expedite results earlier depending on the project and pay structure.
