TRACKING PERFORMANCES:
I have various rooms I use for tracking voices and instruments, and I can ensure you a clean capture of all vocal takes to be selected from and included within your project. However, auditions may be subject to some background ambience - which WILL NOT be present on takes sent for projects I have been cast in.
.
For plosives and siblance I use a pop filter/shield, as most do. And to help even further, I place a pencil across the diameter of the pop filter and, as a result, the microphine's diaghragm, to break the airflow and further soften siblance and plosives.
.
(If you happen to reading this and are only just learning this pencil trick, feel free to let me know! And I hope you're a nerd like me and get a kick out of the difference it makes haha.)
