Gray
Gray
@TheGrayKnightWhat's my range? Well... that's a bit of a gray area.
Lets have us some fun, shall we?
I'm very passionate about voice acting, I'll gladly retake lines till its to your liking, just make sure you're good at pointing out what you want!
I'm always lookin' for new voicework, so if you think I can pull off the voice you're looking for, please do let me know, my goal is to get noticed, after all, and what better way than to keep putting my voice out there?
Ah, and I suppose I might as well mention, I quite enjoy meeting new people, so if you're an aspiring VA that likes my work, I have absolutely no qualms with you coming to my DMs just to chat! Though I do request that you're at least 18 or older if you decide to, thank ya! Mainly have to put this because of a select few people, sorry fellas. I don't value you any less if you're an underage voice actor, we'll all get there someday, we just need to believe in what we can do and keep learning!
Feel free to send me a DM for any reason, whether you're a project leader, voice actor, or someone that wants to try to be my friend.
my discord tag is 'grayva', my DMs are open, so feel free to stop by.
Some Voice Information
My voice is incredibly flexible, and I'm always looking to add more voices to my repertoire, I can go very low, and very high, but my natural pitch is a little higher than average for a guy. My greatest strengths lie in emotional expression, and improvising new voices... and I certainly don't mind if you try to give me some references to craft a new voice for your project, it's one of my favorite parts of the process!
I know a lot of tidbits that go into voice acting, which lets me put a lot of small things together to make a voice, whether you need a loud stage announcer, an outspoken femboy, a shy nerdy kid, a high pitched cartoony mascot voice, a deep gritty cowboy, a cocky villain, a theatrical villain, an angry slasher, a meek librarian, and the several in-betweens of all... I'm passionate, I can tell you that much.
I've managed to get better at learning & applying accents, so that is now on the table, however I won't really be adding any particular accent to my tags until its approved by someone that naturally speaks it... I figure fair's fair.
As of recent I've been practicing female voices, and I'm getting there, slowly, as of now I can do a fairly basic female version of my regular voice, so don't expect anything too crazy there yet.
I do not have a demo reel, I'm sorry for this... but I'm just not good at picking and choosing what to fit into a minute & a half long demo reel, especially with how many voices and subtle vocal changes that go into my work. I'll probably find someone to help me some day, but until then please make do with my public submissions, or asking me to come up with voices personally.
Terms
I request that you keep me in the loop, you wouldn't want me forgetting you ever casted me, would you? There are many projects I'm technically 'in', that have yet to announce a hiatus, but have made no leeway, and they slowly get buried under other projects over time.
I'm far less likely to work with a project utilizing generative AI for its content, most of us in the creative field aren't really a fan of generative AI, and it shows, especially of recent, and yeah... I'm among them, but I'm not going to witch hunt you because you use it, just keep my voice out of it, it's creepy to put someone's voice into that kinda AI learner without permission... genuine heebie jeebies.
I can voice multiple characters in your project if you're after that, or just one... up to your own preference. Though I of course uphold the right to deny voicing anything unreasonable.
This should be obvious... but I'm not interested in using my voice to spread hate, I can play the antagonist, I can be "the bad guy"... but seriously man, if you're gonna come to my DMs just to have me play the part of someone sexist, racist, or something-phobic, all to then put that character in a positive light... I'm really not interested. That sorta stuff ain't cool, and unless the purpose is to draw attention to it as a problem, that isn't for me... and even then, you have to do it elegantly.
There's no reason to be afraid of hurting my feelings, if you're the one that's guiding my voice, put things bluntly, don't dance around the issue. If you think I might've outgrown your role, or that you might've made a mistake in casting, work with me on clearing those fears up, or confirming them completely. It's better to be absolutely certain than to assume and give up. If I'm going to lose a role, I want to be able to say with 100% certainty that it was the right call to make.
Please show me the finished product! I really hate when someone puts everything together and then... nothing. Silence. When its done, I want to see it, give me the Youtube link or something!
As far as 18+ content goes, although I am of age and capable of doing any 18+ content, it all depends on if I'm comfortable with the content shown. I have no issues with voicing in projects that handle mental health, gore, extreme violence, or even projects in which mentions of drugs or other harmful content are frequent when done in an elegant way. However... I am very unlikely to join up with a project containing frequent sexual content unless there's a character that has me entirely fascinated with their design, one such example of such a character would be Ren Hana, who despite coming from a horror game that includes sexual elements, is a character that fascinates me voice-wise, having a blend of insanity, clinginess, instability, and a facade of normalcy & friendliness, all held together with a terrifying concept of "love". The character itself fascinates me due to the amount of work voicing them would take due to all the defined character traits and potential routes interacting with the character can lead down resulting in many different blends of crazy, afraid, vulnerable, abusive, powerful, and so many in-betweens that're all dependent on how submissive, aggressive, friendly, or paranoid the player character behaves, and that's just in one of... 4 games, in which their voice differs massively in each due to their age & circumstances changing, meaning to voice every version of them that's 4 different voices, which is pretty crazy to think about, but also sounds incredibly fun to try.
(Please do remember though, even if I were offered to voice Ren himself, who I bring up due to being an extreme case due to the nature of the game he's from, I'd still be strongly against voicing the sexual aspects of his character, so if you're looking at me and thinking "Yeah this is the guy I want voicing this nsfw content" You better get that twenty sided dice ready and be prepared to roll a triple 20 on that charisma check!)
So if you really think you have a character that'll capture my interest with their complexity & personality despite your project containing some kind of sexual content, you are absolutely free to try grabbing my attention despite that, but I cannot guarantee I will accept, and in fact... I have yet to accept any such offer, so you can try beating the odds, but don't count on it.
About Me
Huh, what? I've gone this long without an about me? What am I, a dummy? Alright, guess I'll fill it out~!
As for age... I'm 20, birthyear of 2004, birthday of July 16th.
I suffer from crippling formality when I type, luckily I've learnt how to stave that off through the power of slang, goofiness, and the classic squiggly tilde symbol~ I'm not as serious as I sound over text, I swear, don't be intimidated by the grammar!
I'm not the most experienced person in many ways, but I take pride in my skills in theatrical acting & voice acting. Whether you're an aspiring VA, or someone that simply wants some help founding a better voice for your self-identity, there's a chance I can teach you a few things.
I'm silly above all else, I can be professional if you need it, effortlessly so, even. However I take my voice acting quality very seriously regardless of which you prefer.
It's been mentioned before, but I'm very passionate in voice acting, its my greatest passion, and I'm doing my best to improve as I go. My quality is as important as the voice itself, so I'll occasionally change around my DAW settings to try making things crisper. At this point though its mostly getting into minute changes that are hard to notice... which is good, I suppose.
Other Stuff
The profile picture art is from a friend of mine named Zane.
I'd put my contact email for VA work, for those of you that can't use CCC's Messages system, but ccc will automatically censor that! So if you want to know what that is, look at my YT Channel Description.
Payment is never bad, but I recognize not everyone has the money for that. If its a passion project you really want to see get off the ground, talk to me about it, garner my interest.
I'm here for some interesting passion projects, be your goal to tell a story, or terrify your audience, I'm sure I can help give a good show.

In all seriousness, Gray is someone that is one of the most skilled people I’ve met. He’s a great voice actor, who doesn’t only have range, they also have energy and devote time to improving everyday. Alongside this he’s also a genuine treat to talk to. He’s responsible and makes sure things get done, and is also a kind person who can get along with almost anyone. It’s really a pleasure to work alongside him :)

@OddlyMonnie
Currently I have been working with Gray on my animated project "A Kitsune's Kiss" for almost a year. Ever since hiring him, not only have I gained the perfect voice for our lead role, but also an amazing co-worker and friend.
Gray has a very large range of voices from low to high and upholds a very strong standard for himself. If you ever need to workshop with him, he is very willing to work with the voice until it is perfect for final cut.
Gray brings a very professional and inviting feeling to anything you should hand to him, and if you are considering him for any role on your own works, you have my highest of recommendations. -
@Systolic
Absolute dream to work with! Glad to have them start working for me.
