I want to continue working and improving on my craft!
During my time with The All American Boys Chorus, I was deeply immersed in vocal training and performance. I had the opportunity to perform in over 300 concerts, where I refined my singing technique and stage presence. Touring across America, Canada, and China, I gained invaluable experience performing in front of diverse audiences and adapting to different venues. This experience helped me grow as a performer, enhancing my musicality, stage presence, and professionalism. I also developed strong teamwork skills, working closely with other talented singers to create powerful and harmonious performances.
At the Classical Voice Conservatory at Orange County School of the Arts, I immersed myself in a rigorous and specialized music education. I trained extensively in classical vocal techniques, focusing on proper breathing, diction, and tone production. The conservatory offered me the chance to study and perform a wide range of classical repertoire, from opera arias to art songs, helping me develop a strong and versatile vocal foundation.
I also had the opportunity to work with experienced vocal coaches and participate in masterclasses, where I honed my performance skills and received personalized feedback to refine my craft. The conservatory emphasized not only technical proficiency but also the emotional and interpretative aspects of singing, allowing me to connect deeply with the music and convey its meaning to an audience.
Through performances, recitals, and competitions, I gained valuable stage experience and learned how to present myself confidently in front of an audience. My time at OCSA's Classical Voice Conservatory has been instrumental in shaping my abilities as a performer, providing me with a strong foundation in classical music that I continue to draw upon in my work in musical theater, TV acting, and voice acting.
During my time at the UCLA Musical Theater Workshop with Rogelio Douglas III, I had the incredible opportunity to refine my skills under the guidance of an industry professional with vast experience in both theater and entertainment. The workshop was an intensive and immersive experience, where I focused on integrating acting, singing, and movement to create well-rounded, compelling performances.
Rogelio's mentorship provided me with invaluable insights into the industry, as well as practical techniques for interpreting musical theater material. We worked on everything from character development and storytelling through song to the intricacies of stage presence and connecting with an audience. The workshop challenged me to push beyond my comfort zone and explore new aspects of my performance abilities.
The collaborative environment was a significant aspect of the workshop, allowing me to work alongside other talented performers, exchange feedback, and grow together. This experience not only sharpened my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of what it means to be a performer in the highly competitive world of musical theater.
