Joel Dawson

In my time at UTC Sheffield City Centre I gained an understanding of the media industry as a whole. I originally joined in order to complete my GCSE level qualifications but later stayed on and also completed my A-Levels at the college. Through the course I created: two magazines, a short comic, a music video and original song, a radio show, a voice over for a podcast, an instructional video on using equipment, foley sound effects for an original production and a short YouTube documentary. Creating these products allowed me to hone my interests and the area I wanted to work in later on. My voice over and singing work inside my radio show, music video and podcast voice over made me want to pursue a career in Voice Acting.
