@Jerrelman31New to VA/VO and doing what they can to improve and have fun :).
I am currently learning whatever I can about voice over and voice acting. I have so far taken some courses on voice acting and I plan to take some more coaching lessons from professionals in the near future. I am always open to auditions in order to deliver my performances as best as I can or you can also give a listen to my demo reel.
I did a 4 week course where I learned about the basic fundamentals of voice acting. it was 1 session each week that was 2 hours long, and for each session we would be given scripts beforehand and read them out to the rest of the class in a way that we thought it should be delivered. We would then be given guidance by Jennifer on how we can improve on how to read those scripts.
This was a further training course that continued from the Foundation level. There were 4 sessions (1 each week) that lasted for 2 hours each. Before each session, we would be given hand picked scripts that suit our voices and styles of speech based on what our teacher knows from our previous course. We would then practice those scripts and come to each session to read them out and deliver what we learned from practicing them. We would then be given one to one feedback on how we could improve on those scripts by our teacher and we would also practice each others scripts in groups and give each other feedback. We also gained an insight on what we should do to make our own demo reels.
I am looking to hopefully get into voice acting for mainly characters in video games or animation. Those are my main goals but I will also take on other work such as narration or commercial voice over.
