@Isaac-BooneVoice Talent. Experience with Audiobook Production
Even since my young adulthood, strangers have told me I have a nice voice and should find work "on the radio or something". When I learned about the Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX) I decided to give it a go. I've since produced several audiobooks on my own.
I've always enjoyed doing difference voices and accents in my daily life, picking up subtle nuances naturally. I especially enjoy exhibiting this talent when reading novels aloud to my daughter (The Hobbit many times, and the first 4-5 Harry Potter books) and while playing or running TTRPGs like Dungeons and Dragons with friends. I even had a short stint as a professional Dungeon Master for a couple of years.
Well into adulthood, I was diagnosed as Autistic and a few years later with ADHD, which explains the very difficult time I've had trying to maintain a "normal" job. Now, with a better perspective on things, I'm working to build a new, more authentic way of life for me and my family.
If given the chance to make voice over work my only form of employment, I would take it in a heartbeat. Until then, I'll just take whatever smaller opportunities I can. I'm looking forward to providing and improving on my talents whenever possible.
Let's negotiate. I would like to finish any project having made at least $20/hour. So, whatever the situation calls for that gets close to that figure.
Voice over work of any kind. I would especially love to get into character voices for animation, video games, commercials, and film.
