Amateur VA doing this in my free time when not at med school. My setup is evolving very slowly - turns out a pop filter is a thing that exists and I can actually speak into the microphone without worrying about my breathing. Yes, that’s why I sound distant on most of my auditions. I was speaking away from the mic.
